Garo on his horse FTW! ;D very awesome. sigh....if only the SH or SH Figurarts line could produce a decent figure of him. Didn't like his first SH release since it couldn't move much. Btw, who does your photos? They're very well done! Never thought that purple could be such a nice backdrop.  |

@qb, jtaylo20214: thanks jem and john, i'm glad you liked 'em. i'm really diggin' Garo's Equip and Prop line, despite holding myself off from it 3-4 years ago. thankfully, the figs ain't chrome-y but it's really awesomely sculpted and very well detailed.   with regards to my photos, i'm the one to does them. i just use a regular digicam (seriously, just a sony cybershot 5MP) and a single lampshade (plus the room flourescent lighting) and a large cartolina as a background. post-processing (i use adobe photoshop cs) only changes light effects and color, as well as sharpness of photo (or the subject in the picture). i practice the settings on the digicam and takes multiple shots and after that, i check on my laptop whichever picture looks good.  i only have a purple cartolina coz the white is already dirty, and the black cartolina is glossy causes flashes in the pictures, and my blue one is already torn. ;D i couldn't find the time to do a proper photoshoot setup which requires additional lights (which would eliminate the shadows in my pictures) and better camera (hopefully a DSLR) and additional items (tracing paper to control the lights, frames to hold the tracing paper, etc.) i'm really thankful that the photos looked really good IMHO.  |

ah i see. very well done, IMHO! for a minute there, i thought you were using a DSLR! for the shadows, what you can do is add another lamp to the left/right back side of the figure (preferably both) or use a mirror-lamp combo to remove the shadows. umbrellas work too but i haven't tried that yet. just a tip given by a friend who's into photography too. another option is that you can get a light tent. there are some sold at the Canon shop in Virra Mall for 1250php that can could fit 1/100-1/60 Gundam figures. I'm sure SIC's will fit right in there. |

here's a late update of my gear. sorry for the crappy pics as i don't have a decent camera on hand. my updated SIC cab. had to take out most of the Takumi Damashii's coz they take up quite a space. i now need to get 1-2 cabs to give my other figs a new home.
