if there's one thing you can't have when you're working and collecting - its having a good time management strategy to open/display your collections. somehow it's a blessing in disguise since i got sick with the flu today - so i was able to ponder and fix some pending projects. since the GFF collection has grown AGAIN (thanks to acquiring the 2nd units for conversion-type GFFs),  i was obliged to purchase another step-riser for "reinforce junior"...  i'll have to reorganize the lower cab (again) for specific zeon/neo zeon units. plus dedicated risers for the revoltech and hcmpro displays as well. here are some some pics of the "pimped" RD V2 thanks to shinobi:   looking forward to the other variations soon! but this - THIS is the biggest challenge... finding a good display for these heavyweights...  and despite having both red and blus GFFMC Zpluses, heck i feel the itch to get another set of them to display them in waverider modes for the C1/ Bst configurations. thanks for looking![/i] |

always nice seeing your collections on display. but wait... what's that on the glass surface in the first pic? is that dust? is it just the blue parts that was painted on you pimped RD V2? that shade of blue looks really nice... not as cartoony-looking as the stock blue. EDIT - i accidentally went to the first page of you thread... 2005!!! ;D what's that VF-2SS that you have... is it a kit? what scale is it in, 1/72? I wish somebody would make a transformable toy of that in my lifetime!  |

yep. its dust. dust still comes in but not as fast as one toy outside the cab.
i only had the yellow and gold parts painted. the blue no. some very thin panel lines though.
yep. its a 1/72 kit - a "classic" kit painted by a good friend of mine. yeah, it'd be nice if they released a toy version of that - especially the metal siren one.

d@mn!... i envy you for having that one.
not that big of a fan of the Metal Siren, but i would definitely want to have a VF-2SS w/ SAP even if i'm in my 60's when somebody decides to make one!

its been a while... been busy with work and responsibilities and all sorts of stuff... managed to get these pics throughout the rest of the year yet forgetting to upload them... "victory" - the large sized cab:        "reinforce junior" - the GFF/Zeonography/revo/hcmpro/modelkit cab:   "nirvash" - the shinki/largeGFF/largefig cab:  "reinforce" - the rd/msia cab:  finally managed to finish and rearrange the units with the wooden riser. r-gun powered - mike tan's work:  pondering on what to do with this:  love the custom paintwork:  some random hauls:  been doing some unpacking/opening of some other items.... how hard it is when you're busy at work and all that - you just cant seem to play anymore. |
