Checked it out bro.... it's when you want to strip the gold plating. don't really plan to do that. i'm thinking of just doing the black & white colors on the shield. otherwise, the rest of akatsuki is fine. ;D

i just checked dalong to see your issue on the shield. before i thought that it has separate white/black sprues for the shield. it's one gold coated piece pala yung shield. bummer huh?
you can't strip pala the gold coating on the shield. unless you strip it the whole kit and repaint it. why don't you try to sand the area (the middle part), then prime it, then paint it. better put some tamiya masking tape first on the area not to be sanded, before you sand the unwanted area. then spray it with primer, then spray it with the colors that you want. i hope it will work.

We'll have to sand it down so that the paint will stick.... I'm thinking of getting some other kit first like the 1/144 astray blue frame and 1/144 G Saviour as both are the same price as one Oowashi....sigh....
