i agree.. ;D bootlegs are used for practice. for mods and spare parts... example when you brake the v-fin... the price of getting a v-fin online might be the same as just getting the bootleg. lol ;D so id rather get the bootleg which come with free sabers and other parts that i could use... other than that i have no use for them. i also use the pc parts for mods and stuff.. ;D CLASS A bootlegs? wag naman. Mwawalan ng customer si sir malvs nyan.hahaha ;D Im not against piracy, but when it comes to this hobby I rather get the original. Kung sideline ok pa. But bootlegs are good for kit bashing, paint practice and for replacing broken parts of your kits. |

curious: are all bootleg kits comes with a regular semi-transparent plastic rubber for the beam sabers? and clear parts for the eyes? TIA.

Regarding the Transparent Beam Sabers the 1/100 Bootlegs have them. They're transparent. Anyway, would you guys believe that the 1/100 bootlegs are now gone? Sigh! I was planning something special  Anyway, I've built Blitz and Duel Armour Shroud. Here are their pics  Gundam Blits is one pain in the ass to pose  I think it's the way the creators designed his feet. The Leg and feet poly caps won't stay together and the legs always spread aparts when I try to pose him The legs also separate easily from the hips. During this shooting with my reluctant Blits Bootleg, he probably fell down on his back and on his face around 30x As you guys can see, the original Gundam Bltis has a yellow antenae and Grappler but this kit came with a red antennae and grappler. I'm thinking of keeping it that way because it's pleasing to the eye and matches his red parts nicely. The yellow will be somewhat odd. Gundam Blitz Box and parts sprue  Front  Back  Blits strike pose   Close up of Blitz griepner weapon  Triceros Shield - there should be a white design here in between the red and black but I don't have any paints yet. I'll just color the white when i get the paints. Bootleg Dul Armour Shroud is another story. Similar to providence he's very rigid in posing and the poly caps and joints all work together. He won't fall on his face and on his back even if the wind will blow on him The Bootleg Duel Armour Shroud came with parts sprues all colored correctly to match the Gundam's actual colors Only minor painting of details are left like the yellow parts on at the rear jet exhausts and the yellow missiles on the launcher on his left shoulder. Dual Armour Shroud Box, Parts sprues and Instruction booklet  Dual Armour Shroud mimicking the box art  I ran out of batterries but will add more pics this coming days |

looks good... specially if you want to experiment with modding or any other stuff.
gyaaah i wish i know of these stuff when i was just new to this hobby. ilang 1/100 hg din nagka-ewan-ewan sa akin. like ung wing zero custom na hg, natutunan ko not to do the ff:
1) changing the color by re-painting after a couple of days drying ...
2) without removing the old paint first ...
3) by setting it in a paint thinner.
hehe learned those don'ts the hard way.
natutunan ko naman with hg deathscythe:
1) painting all white with chrome silver doesn't make it look like a special ops version
- to make a better metal looking stuff, i now paint the parts black before loosely painting them metallic silver.

i'm a bit impressed by these bootlegs....do you plan to panel line and paint them?
i'm just concerned that these kits aren't stable.... the plastic seems fragile to me....

Providence and Duel are quite stable because they have very tight joints and the polycaps are also tight. Blitz is the very stubborn Gundam that doesn't want to stand at all . He always fallas down on his face or on his back if you don't find a stable pose for him.  Bootlegs Duel Armour Shroud, Providence and Blitz  Force Impulse will be sleeping tight in his packaging for a while because I'm currently saving for a very expensive project of mine. |
