so as promised, a review of one of my Lancelots...
Robot Damashii/Spirits Lancelot Club[/b]
Suggested Retail Price: Y3200
Release Date: May 2010
Number of Parts: 1 Lancelot Club Figure + 5 pairs of hands + 11 parts + 1 part in plastic + Guide
Background:[/b] (info taken from MAHQ.Net)
Following the creation of the Z-01 Lancelot, the Britannian Special Technical Dispatch uses leftover parts from its development along with the base of an RPI-13 Sutherland to create a second Seventh Generation knightmare frame. This machine, designed to be the Lancelot's sister unit, is formally dubbed Z-01b Lancelot Club (or simply "Club" for short). Due to budgetary concerns, the Club lacks the Sakuradite-heavy frame of its sibling; though its performance is lower than the Lancelot's, it is still superior to the Sutherland. Further, the Club can make use of a "sniper mode" which, combined with its VARIS rifle, gives it exceptional accuracy. Elements of the Lancelot Club, including the lance-type MVS and the shoulder-mounted factspheres, would be applied to the mass production version of the Lancelot, the RPI-212 Vincent.
Pilot:Rai
Appearances: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Lost Colors (DS Game)
So enough of that, lets get on with the figure
HeadThe head unit is perfectly sculpted. It is mostly in white with the main camera (eyes) painted in Bright Green (aka Gundam Green in my book). The back,"horn" and face of the head unit is painted in Mettalic Blue. Also as for the "ears" and "horn" of this figure, the tips are kind of a bit sharp. So you have to be careful when touching the head. The head is attached to the torso via a double jointed peg-in hole. The head can rotate 360 degrees horizontally and offers approximately 45-60 degrees of movement vertically.
TorsoThe torso, perfectly sculpted as well! mostly painted in white with some dull blue colors fom the chest going to the back, which is where the cockpit is). It is built from 3 separate parts, attached to each other via a ball joint. The best gimmick I see on this part is the opening cockpit hatch via pulling it out. Unfortunately there is no Rai Figure inside of it. Oh well, it doesnt bother me, you dont get to see Rai anyways in the game. LOL! There's also the 2 holes on each side of the cockpit where you attach the sheath for the MVS Swords. It also has a small hole at the bottom of where the cockpit has. I dont know what it was for, but the Figma stand was actually perfect for it.
ArmsIts mostly in white, with the shoulder factospheres painted in red. The sad part about it is it doesnt open but thats okay. The arms are attached to the torso via a ball joint and the shoulder armor is mounted on the arms via a ball joint as well and offers 90 degrees of movement vertically and as for the whole arm itself, it offers 80 degrees of movement vertically and 80-120 degrees horizontally. The arms also has the shield and slash harken attached via a peg-in-hole which can be replaced by using the added parts that comes together with the figure, either with an open unactivated shield part, a deployed slash harken and the activated shield. The hands are sculpted in a greyish blue color and is attached to the arms via a ball joint as well and offers an 80-120 degrees of movement.
LegsNow this is where everything gets interesting, mostly in white with some of the parts painted in mettalic blue. It offers a whopping 170degrees of movement vertically (it could literally do a drop kick pose!) and 70 degrees horizontally. Its also has some plastic that is attached to the upper legs via a peg in hole. The feet are attached via a dual ball joint, which actually gives the figure a lot of movement! Perfect for a lot of poses! And last but not least, the landspinners, you know, that roller skates thingy that makes knightmares go vroom! Its attached to the lower parts of the legs via a ball joint and can rotate 360 degrees! One hell of an epic feature there!
Weapons and AccessoriesVaris Rifle (Undeployed) - one chunk of plastic that is painted in blue with cylinders painted in red, the trigger painted in grey and the tip painted in gold.
Varis Rifle (Deployed) - now thats what you call a MFG (Medium F****** Gun, cant be a BFG Lol!), painted similarly to the other one. The only difference is, the barrel on this one is deployed. Now one thing's for sure. I dont want to be at the end of this gun firing.
MVS Swords - it comes with 2 MVS Swords, painted in gray, black and red. can be combined by removing the tips from the rods and then attaching it to a dual pegged rod which the figure comes with. Note: You have to be very careful removing the tips, because it might break the pegs where it is attached to. as you could see, I didnt remove mine, I'm not going to risk it. LOL!
Deployed Slash Harken - attached to the arms via a peg in hole, the wire the slash harken is attached to isnt bendable, but definitely a nice gimmick
Deployed Shield - attached to the arms via a peg in hole, shield is painted similar to the color painted in the eyes. Nothing too special.
Overall:The figure itself is great! I loved the fact that you could literally do tons of poses with the articulation offered by this figure! I definitely do admit this figure is a keeper! I loved the combination of white and metallic blue as well! Really perfect IMO!
Final Score: 9.5/10
