@christine that's Kotobukiya's M.S.G. Mechanical Chain Base. you can use those bases on both 1:100 and 1:144 scaled kits, bro. with one base, you can use the 1:144 Gundams. but with 1:100 Gundams, you might add 2-3 more bases like trace did on his photos.
here's a link from HLJ showing the 3 available bases from Kotobukiya. each set comes with different base accessories. astig di ba? too bad it's still not available in our local shores.
Mechanical Chain Base 001, Mechanical Chain Base 002, Mechanical Chain Base 003
and here's Dalong's review on the said bases.

Try coating the side exposed to the rain with that epoxy-black-colored-paint-kinda-looking-thing I worked on our wall having the same problem. Yeah, Already tried that. It didn't work. Carpenter says the problem is the really old wall and needs to be torn down and replaced. What I think I really need now is an actual display cabinet. ;D I find it hard to believe what the carpenter said to you. Even its an old wall you can still do waterproofing on it. I worked in a construction company before so I know a little bit of these things. You can ask somebody else for a second opinion.

By the way, you can even waterproof the wall inside your room but not using that black waterproof thing after waterproofing the outside wall. But this is only for additonal protection. You can use an industrial clear gloss lacquer (you can buy from local hardware stores) which you will use to coat the internal wall (if water sips on the external wall it will not go through because of the clear gloss lacquer) and then repaint the wall again. It is a technique we do but I'm not sure if this is common knowledge to some carpenters. If somebody knows this technique it will save you a lot of money rather than bringing down the whole wall.

@evangelion-- Thanks for the tips regarding waterproofing. I'm happy to say that that problem was already solved a year ago and all we had to do was fix the roof above my room ;D Lotur-- Thanks sir. I just used leftover decals from my previous Crossbone kits. Those are just the regular sticker type decals, not the dry-transfer ones. @qb-- Thanks too~!

RainerO-- Thanks. I never really left GUNPLA, but I was dormant for a VERY long time. ;D @jnthn-- Glad you appreciate the ASTRAEA. I liked the new look of this unit better than the original EXIA. Reminds me of an ASTRAY. This baby's currently in immaterial's display cabinet for the time being. For some odd reason, it seems like my kits feel much more at home in other peple's displays...
