Part of my 1/24 scale Zoids haul, this line also refer to as "Panzer Tier".
Originally released by TOMY back in 1987, WAVE re-issued it in 2003. Actually this is the 2nd time this model were being re-issued. In 1992 under the Zevle line it was released but by different name: Golgola and it is bowling red paint finished as opposed to OJR & WAVE ver of dirty white.
One odd thing on this particular released is that no "ZOIDS" word found in the box
The box and bits, unlike the usual Zoids we buy this kit comes with a waterslide sheet and not the regular sticker sheet. It requires 1 "C" Type Battery for the motor.
It comes with 1 painted, fully articulated pilot and 1 sprue for 1/20 construction model figure. The extra sprue needed to be glued and painted. The OJR Gorem doesn't have this spare construction model figure sprue. I believe this is why in the box it declares 1/20 model kit but actually GOREM is a 1/24 scale model kit.
The finished product: WAVE 01 GOREM
The lighting flashes red when the motor is on, it walks like the conventional ape.
Another cool feature of the GOREM is the gattling gun rotates when the motors running, 1 coil tube connected to the motor does the trick.
You can open the canopy to see the 1/24 scale pilot
But you need to open the whole head to place the 1/24 scale pilot.
If you like toying with your Zoids, the pilot can be placed on the backside of the Gorem as well
It may interest you how big the 1/24 scale pilot oppose to 1/72 scale pilot (I use the chrome pilot of IK MK2 for comparison).
Comparison shot between 1/24 scale Gorem to 1/72 scale Iron Kong MK2
If you like Kongs on your collection might as well get the Gorem, it sleaker & looks regal in white.
Btw, I got it off from a trade w/ fellow Zoider based in US. I think it is still available in Amenbo
Cheers ;D
