Bio Volcano was given to Zairin by Gene after he was defeated in a battle by Ruuji with the Hayate and Murasame Liger which resulted in the destruction of his Bio Megaraptor. Based on the anime....this Zoid is difficult to control since it somewhat has a mind of its own and not to mention it takes a lot from you since there was a scene in one episode that it fired its charged particle cannon which drained Zairin thus he collapsed after. Out of the Box: Finished Product: Whatever flaws that the Bio Megaraptor had...it was corrected with Bio Volcano...stiffer parts which don't come off just as easy...however....just like the anime he is difficult to control...HE IS A PAIN TO POSE....extremely hard to get him to stand up due to the added weight of more parts like the crystal spines and etc...on my end I have yet to make him stand in pursue mode...as you noticed on my last two pics....one of his arms was used to balance him. Another factor would be the lack of an ankle joint and a counter weight near the rear portion to compensate. On a side note...to trigger the firing of the charged particle cannon...you need to press the button 10x in slow succession....rapid successions will trigger the constant firing w/ no sounds. The Good: - Bulkier than Bio Megaraptor - Stiffer compared to the Bio Megaraptor - An added light gimmiks (charged particle cannon) The Bad: - No ankle joint - No counterwight for the rear portion - A pain to pose

imo that was one complain of mine for BMR, the loss of ankle joints. It seems that Mugen and Bio volcan have their own share of developments.
Nice review.

I just bought myself one yesterday -- my first bio zoid actually. I have to admit that it takes a while to get used to the rubber armor since I'm used to the hard plastic type of zoids.
I have to agree that posing it is an excercise in finding the center of gravity.
It's also a zoid that I don't have any regrets of possibly glueing the armor on to the frame if they start to show symptoms of falling off.
If there's one thing I realized in buying a bio-zoid, it's that you got to be sold on whatever you're getting since there's no easy customizing this one -- no hardpoints for extra guns or what have you.
A bit steep at P1,300, I guess it's ok if you have the cash to spare. Bio-zoids are ideal for those who don't want to apply stickers to their zoids hehehe

for me, trimming the bio zoids rubber armor are much easier than the plastic ones.
