Need some tips. I just acquired two sword replicas of Anduril and Hadhafang of LOTR (with their respective letter of authenticity).
Here is my question...
How do you maintain them (how to avoid rust and all that yahoos)

in my experience, we use WD-40 to prevent our guns from rusting and i think its better if its locked up behind a wooden display cabinet.

why should it be wooden? why not glass, swords looks good in a glass display. . .

call me crazy but i think the wood helps absorb the water in the air. ;D it may also help to place a bit of silica gel to keep things dry as well in addition to preventing rust outbreaks with WD40.

well i think regular maintenance would be a sure fire to preventing it from rusting.

How about baby oil. A friend of mine told me that baby oil can be an alternative

I still go for the regular maintenance. If you use oil the tendency is more dust/dirt will stick into it.
