I got bored last Sunday and guess what... no not that dirty deed! ;D Anyway, I was looking at Grimlock as he was proudly displayed on top of my TV cabinet and I noticed that the screws that was visible on both his arms can be corrected as I've seen somebody do it and so I decided to do my Grimlock some fixing he deserves.
Anyway, I don't have the before picture but most TF collectors know that Grimlock's arms was assembled the wrong way because if you take a look at its packaging you can clearly see at the back in robot mode that the screw fitting is on its backside however, when you take Grimlock out of the package and transform him in robot mode you'll see that the screw fittings are in front and not at the back.
So if you have Grimlock and want to correct him then you might probably want to continue reading.
This is not a detailed instructions but you'll figure it out. ;D
1st remove Grimlocks arms and limbs! (oh so cruel)
This is easy pop-out both his legs from the ball joint socket so you can work better when you push the pin the connects both arms (this is quite tough but the hammer is tougher!)
And viola!
2nd Remove both arms buy pushing out the connector pins. I tried to just unscrew both upper arms hoping that this would do the trick but no you should swap arms and fist to correct it. Ok once you get the pins out take the arms apart and switch arms and hands so it will be in the correct position and then screw it back into position.
3rd Attach the arms and legs and there you go.
If you transform it to the T-Rex mode here's what you get.
Thanks and hopefully this sort of helps
I also did Classics Megatron some justice by removing the "wings" on his back. Now getting the pins out is quite tough so be careful if you decide to do yours.
Megs looks good now and not to mention easy to balance. By the way, if you transform Megs into its Blaster mode simply snap the wings back no big deal.
