Guys, how do you mix colors to attain Flesh like color? Is it Brown and white or Yellow and brown or is it Brown, White and Yellow??? I need to have this color: I'll be fixing my Elwing figure coz there's a spot on her right thigh that the paint was rubbed off. Please help me guys.

ORANGE + White 1:1 To make it Tan or Darker use brown shade Actually when we mix color we use representations: we use Crimson Red(Blood)25% + Canary Yellow(Dermis)25% + Titanium/Platinum White(Skin Tone)50% this is factual to come up with Flesh (DaVinci & Michealangelo use this principle). Why use brownshade to darken?... When the blood stain dries up what color does it make? Ofcourse you'll know (note: NEVER use black for darkening skin tone it will ruin it)

My advice to you is do a trial and error on a piece of plastic, preferably same color as the skin, since you're trying to retouch a shading color, it's quite difficult to do so. You also need a good airbrush.
Try this: Start with base white and add a bit of orange then brown if you need darker tone.
For primary color, try this: Start with base white, then add a bit yellow and very very small amount of red. Than add brown if you need darker tone.
Once you get the right tone, you have to thin the paint very much, like 1:2 paint to thinner ratio or more.

Thanks for the tutorial guys. @ LadyLuck What kind of paint should I use? Is it ok to use poster paint and a brush? I don't have an airbrush.... T_T and it's just a very small spot. It's just that the spot is noticable when my Elwing figure is wearing only a two piece, but when her parou(the towel like thingy covering her bikini. Correct me if the spelling is wrong hehe) is attached, it can be tolerated. SEELE01Thanks for the brief instruction, but it's just a small spot. ^^ But anyways, what kind of paint should I use if i don't have an airbrush?

I recommend Acrylic, Poster paint use to weather though time because its water base. Although acrylic is also water base when it dries...it dries permanently plastic like texture. You may not need thinner because the water will serve as thinner.(we use this when we paint on canvas)
The acrylic paint that I recommend are sold in tiny toothpaste like tube they are available in national bookstore and art shops. DO NOT USE acrylics that are sold in hardwares, its not cheap and as you say you only need it for a tiny spot.
try using a fine brissle brush, after applying use the dry brushing technique to tone it done. Ofcourse try starting with the mid tone or just Seele said trial and error(sampling first).

Sorry, I don't think hand brushing will do the job right. You could try what LadyLuck said on a scratch item.
There's another way to solve this, let a pro modeler fix your prob for a small charge.

I'm not saying it's a right thing to do but just a suggestion. The brush that I'm talking about is called a blending brush not those pointed/flat like hair/nylon on it. Blending brush are fines like a hair of an rabbit its not use to paint rather to blend on surfaces. Anyways have you ever visited this site codyscoop.com/codyscoop.com/howto.html(to be exact) He may have some pointers on painting, we use the same principles but in different applications. He applies it on figure and I on the otherhand applies it in a canvass or flat surface. PEACE OUT!!!

Here's the spot before I've painted her. And here it is after I've painted her. I didn't use the 1:1 ratio coz the Cadmium Orange Acrylic paint I've bought is so thick. Therefore, I've used 3:1 ratio, White:Cadmium Orange. And after it dried up, I wiped it lightly w/ a cotton ball w/ Armor All, just to lighten up the color and mix with the color of Elwing's thigh. Thanks for the help LadyLuck. ^^ Btw, sry about the pictures... My Web Cam, sucks... @_@
