budget? what budget?! you don't need money to do diorama you can use scrap/junk gunpla an what you can find around house and in your backyard to do diorama... that dodai is originally based off the drawing given to me but after I worked out the basic shape and enlarge the mid section to accommodate MG Zaku II F2 it turned out to be way too long compared to 1/144 Dodai II though mine's not Dodai II nor Dodai YS... building full scratch is more or less like what I used to do at the primary school where I cut out pieces from thick papers and glue/tape them to build the structure though it's bit more complicated than that Once you have the basic shape it's time to have some fun with epoxy putty and sand paper - or more like sore elbow from constant sanding...

@sir DJ sorry sir DJ about the budget thing. peace. ;D @sir ikabod bro, the pictures in dalong is good enough to study the specs of your Flying Armor. it's not that technical, pero i think it will do. the hard part is with those picture is... you're the one who will do technical drawings like the 'front', 'rear', 'top', and 'bottom'. the fun part with your project is... 'it's very challenging'. ;D

no worries mate! but seriously you can spend as much as you want or as little as you want when it comes to diorama what you can build, it's only limited by your imagination

yup. it's from dalong. i got curious sa Flying Armor mo that's why i browsed it. Fixatif is 'topcoat' spray for watercolor, oilpaints and poster colors. i just suggest this because you're going to use boards for prototype. and like i said before if you like your prototype, then you can paint it with watercolors, etc. coat it with Fixatif and display away. as for the curves issue... based on dalong pictures, i barely see any contours and such. well except for the panel lines details. but over all, when you think it... it's all square-ish kind of model. sorry ha... but i got intrigue also with your project... that's why i suggest the boards. mas madali at mas mura pa.

add ko lang ito bro... try mo yung cork board. not the type that they use for bulletin boards. this one is slightly thinner than the regular cork board. ask mo national if they have one. if they don't, best bet is Deovir Art Supplies and Bevan Art Supplies. madali kasing i-cut ito just by using X-Acto knife. and pede din dito yung mga 'round corners' mo.
