Just wanted to ask what would be the best way to paint plated kits like the Hyaku Shiki or the Akatsuki? Do you just soak the kit in zonrox overnight for the plates to come off? Do you simply paint over the kit? I'm getting ready to fix an Akatsuki and I'm thinking about removing the plating off the entire thing altogether. Need help. TIA! ;D

Paint will not stick to plated kits. Better to strip them with zonrox or something then paint them.

@no3ljm yup. mind-boggling! hehehe..... what's annoying is that i can't work on my kits coz of the rain! @delta how long should it be soaked? i've read somewhere that you can also use brake fluid but i'm not too comfortable with that.... TIA! ;D

today is not a 'gundam-painting-kit' day. weather sucks today. bagyo!
i think brake fluid is being use if you want to strip a paintjob. and zonrox or bleach naman is being used if you want to strip the coat of plated kits. that's what i remember unless, someone told you to do the same thing din.
