just saw Epic Movie on dvd...and it was really funny...
it was like watching Scary Movie...and it was way better than Date Movie

I just saw Spider-man 3 yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's my mini-non-spoiler review!!!!
May 1, 2007 labor day --- a holiday and at a same time its the first day screening of Spider-man 3 and I just could not resist not watching.
First up the opening credits. It's not as good as Spider-man 2 since how can you top that Alex Ross drawing? The opening credit takes us back to Spider-man 1 and Spider-man 2 showing some of its highlights and eventually seeing the black symbiote creeping and slithering its way which is very cool but I like the Spider-man 2 opening credit better.
In Spider-man 3, Spider-man becomes everybody's favorite hero, Peter is happy with Mary Jane and everything seems to be working out just fine until Mary Jane got fired from the Opera singing which totally affects her while Peter seems to be unfazed because he is living the whole Spider-man hero experience and the whole thing got in his head too much to the point that he kissed Gwen Stacey the way he kissed Mary Jane -- remember that scene? Spider-man upside down kissing Mary Jane while raining in Spider-man 1? That pissed Mary Jane and starts to walk out on Peter -- impending breakup!
I will not go into details about the whole movie because you are a fool if you do not watch it on the big screen.
Some of the highlights:
- the first encounter with Goblin Jr. is fantastic the battle is beautifully choreographed and unlike previous report that the Goblin Jr. looks bad the new suit actually looked good and the hover craft shaped like a skateboard performs well.
- the rescue scene involving Gwen Stacy is really mind-blowing. Its so realistic it puts you on the edge of your seat. By the way, Gwen Stacy is played by the same girl who played in M. Khight Shamalan's movies --- The Village and The Lady in the Water, Bryce Dallas Howard. She's very pretty and I must admit she looks different in all of the movies I've seen her.
- the Sandman angle that he was the true culprit of Uncle Ben's murder suited well on the story since it brought vengeance and anger to Peter Parker/Spider-man building his dark side.
- Sandman's transformation/accident that lead him to become Sandman is visually stunning and probably the best CGI effects so far. You've got to see it!
- Venom is not bad either. Venom looks scarry in some shots but barely do we see Venom in action until towards the end. The goo/symbiote that Peter tore-off in the church reminded me of "alkitran, yung nilalagay sa bubong na maiitim hehehehe".
- Peter parker dancing! Yes he did when he the symbiote attached to him eventually turning Peter Parker into a sort of bad ass person. Maybe some people will get annoyed but I think its good and did not hurt the movie. I f#@@! love it!
- The movie is also funny. Watch out for Bruce's Campbells cameo and JJ Jameson is very fun to watch.
- The final battle is really good with Goblin Jr. helping Spider-man because if you look at it there's really no contest and no way will Spider-man beat Sandman and Venom without help. The CGI on the giant Sandman is really really good and the way they handled the team work between Goblin Jr. and Spider-man is really perfect in my opinion. That's how you beat those guys.
What I did not like:
- The ending because its like sad and dramatic and the Sandman thing.... we'll he forgives Sandman and lets him go because he was forced to be bad because of his ailing daughter... Oh, well.
Overall, Spider-man 3 is a must see but between all 3 movies I'd pick Spider-man 2 as the best.

saw it too yesterday. the ticket i bought last friday. man, it was worth it!
how was the fight scenes? here's my response: almost every scene is fight scene. be it Spidey vs sandman, spidey vs venom, pete vs goblin, pete vs harry, pete vs MJ, spidey vs himself, etc.
oh and yes, in the opening credits, spidey 1 to 2 were summarized. its like a quick refresher course.

recently watched 300 on dvd... cool fight scenes!!!!!! it was a really awesome movie FYI/Spoiler: the blonde Spartan whom King Leonidas sent home to give the message to the Queen was portrayed by the same actor in Van Helsing as Karl/Carl, Van Helsing's sidekick/the monk i also plan to watch Sin City on dvd (although i have never seen it) yes. thats also Faramir of LOTR. all played by the same guy. |

bro viper...you spoiled the movie man...that aint cool...  watched SM3 yesterday in SM Cebu...awesome movie...very awesome...oh yeah i liked how they connected Sandman into how really Uncle Ben died cool fight scenes...very cool... too bad a villain died...i was expecting him to live until Spiderman 4(yup..there is a rumour...but i dont think Tobey will don the Spidey suit...) Peter's bad-a** look reminds me of Peter Petrelli (Heroes) everybody was laughing @ Bruce Campbell's role/cameo im looking forward to either The Lizard (Dr. Connors...Peter's professor..make him The Lizard already!) or i want to see Shocker, Rhino, Mysterio and even Kraven to be one or two villains in the 4th film |

I never said a villain died anyway its such a great movie as I plan to watch it again ;D ;D ;D There will be a Spider-man 4 as they are planning this baby to take it up to 7. Yep, Spider-man 7 as Sony plans to cash in and really milk this franchise. Rumor has it that Tobey, Kristen Dunst will only return if Sam directs and I think the studio is going to make a risk not to hire Sam Raimi to direct. Spidey already reached P60M thats $1.2 here in Philippines alone! Wow! Just watched SM3 today
just got two confusions....
Well if Flint Marko was the one who killed Uncle Ben, then even if Spidey used his powers to beat the robber in SM1, then Uncle Ben would still die. The catch here is that if Peter beated the robber then Uncle Ben wouldn't have to die.
On the other hand, I think Uncle Ben only got shot coz Flint got too much desperation for the money and opted to shoot only when his robber friend came. So if his robber friend was beaten up by Parker, then he would come and not prompt Flint Marko to kill Uncle Ben.
And I wonder why Parker chose Gwen to kiss him knowing that Mary Jane is right there on the spot where the Spidey fans are.
Stan Lee also made a cameo and talked to Parker.

good point. I think this was the debate amongts Spider-man fans and Raimi that fans do not want the whole Uncle Ben murder angle to be blame on Sandman. However, I think its a good point specific to Spiderman 3 movie only because Sam Raimi wanted Peter/Spider-man to feel hatred and revenge towards Sandman so they can build up why he chose to don the black suit over the red suit. This sort of justifies why Peter/Spider-man became sort of evil and wanted revenge. Plus there's this angle on Eddie Broc wanting revenge also because he though Peter stole his job and his main squeeze, Gwen Stacey. Spider-man probably chose to kiss Gwen over Mary Jane simply because she was there at that point in time. Spidey never meant hurt Mary Jane but his popularity went up his head too much that's why Spidey never realized it. Also good hint on who's the next villain --- The lizard! I wonder if Sandman will return as a hell because Thomas Haden Church - Sandman's performance is excellent plus he sure looks like Sandman in the comics. so the bottom line is, If Peter did beat up the robber accomplice in SM 1, then he wouldn't run away, and wouldn't have made Flint kill Uncle Ben.
Well we always can't expect all to go alongside the animation, movie and comics. My friends told me upon the end of SM 2 that HOB GOBLIN was the next villain played by Harry Osborn (according to the animated series), but upon reading wikipedia it seems that HOB GOBLIN isn't Harry, but Harry just assumed to be the next GREEN GOBLIN, coz HOB GOBLIN is a man named Roderick Kingsley.

well bro kamadoma...i remembered in the Spiderman comics that Harry once became Hobgoblin b4 Roderick Kingsley...i remembered it well that there were 2 Hobgoblins...then there was Demogoblin..a nasty creature..i think its not human at all..
if Sam Raimi would plan a SM 4..they shouldve let Eddie Brock/Venom lived...or unless they would make Doc Connors into The Lizard...

it was a very funny movie..if you like and love Mr. Bean..this is the funniest movie than the first film...
