I think they did finish it. It's a very tragic end to a promising career.. May he rest in peace.

One thing I don't like about the movie
Where the heck is Barbara Gordon???... I don't even recall she has a older brother

From what I understand, Babs here is still a baby (Gordon's wife told their son to "go play with his sister" when the cops came to the house to break the news about Jim's "death").
In the post-Crisis DC comics, Gordon did have a son, he lived with his mother in Chicago (Jim's divorced), he's currently dead though.
Since the movie is primarily based off the "Batman:Year One" comic books, Jim Gordon also did have a son in those books (Batman also risked his life to save Gordon's infant son from drowning when the boy was tossed over a bridge by a mobster).
BTW also in the current comics, Barbara Gordon already confided in her dad about her being Batgirl (which the latter already knew) and that she is currently "Oracle" (which Jim didn't know) but was very proud of his "adopted" daughter (yes, Babs is actually Jim's niece, her parents, Jim's brother and wife died and Jim took her in).

Heath Ledger played a very unpredictable Joker. That's how Joker should be. And according to my friend, Joker's greatest crime was to steal the scenes in The Dark Knight. ;D

Just watched "The Dark Knight"... awesome movie and great performance by Heath Ledger, Christian Bale was not bad either. Overall this movie should be nominated for an Oscar. Ledger should be nominated for best actor and Chris Nolan for Best Director. Hopefully, it will win Best Picture too. Joker gives me the creep... although I hate the MTRCB coz its obvious that some scenes were deleted. I want the DVD now!

Heath's "Joker" may well be the best character portration of a comic book villain in a movie. It's a real pity he(Ledger) died coz I don't want anyone else playing that part but him now.
Also, Harvey Dent really looked creepy when he turned into Two-Face but I wonder why they didn't give him an alternate creepy voice as well like what they did to Scarecrow and the Batman.
