Darth Maul is going to be Snake Eyes!

Whoa! Ray Park is going to play Snake Eyes for the upcoming live action G.I. Joe movie! Remember he played Darth Maul and the Toad in the 1st X-Men movie.

/FILM has learned that Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, X-Men) has been cast as Snake Eyes in director Stephen Sommers' G.I. Joe, coming to theaters on August 7, 2009. Master ninja Snake Eyes is one of the original members and a key character in "G.I. Joe."

Park joins Sienna Miller in the live-action film based on the Hasbro toys, comic book and TV series.

Paramount is targeting a mid-February start date. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) is producing alongside Hasbro's Brian Goldner.

So it isn't really Darth Maul who's Snake Eyes. It's Ray Park.

If it's really DM then his horns would be hard to hide under SE's head gear.

I'm not really concerned who plays Snake Eyes as long the guy can do some insane action.

Snake Eyes doesn't speak and wears a mask.. which means they don't need to get a talented actor to portray him ;D.
