Xenosaga 3

To all the fans who haven't played it due to the horrible Episode 2, I beg you, please reconsider.

Without giving a way too much of the plot, try mixing part 2001: A Space Odyssey, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Da Vinci Code and Gundam..............you get my drift ;D.

By in large, the game is a fiting end(?) to the ambitious tale woven by Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga (Xenogears), a pity that owing to some internal stirfe, dropped the ball in Episode 2.

The ending is a bit bitter sweet. You have a death of an "angel" and a warrior so as to allow the greater whole to live on and survive.....................and continue another odyssey (on the PS3 perhaps?)

Complaints? Soundtracks aren't as memorable as the original composer Yoshinori Mitsuda, but the character designs and voice overs ar excellent. (The same crew who did episode 1) I even recognize the voice over actress who did Lacus Clynne.

So hurry and pick up one, it comes in two discs at DataBlitz Makati...............real cheap, way cheaper than Episode 2 ( don't ask me why )

hmmmm...

i havent played xenosaga I and II.

so, is it safe to play III? or would i get dizzy while playing it because of the lack of background story from I & II?

i've played one and 2 and the story's convulted pretty much. too much stuff to swallow. and yes 2 sucked. my only motivation was to get the bikini's. even the erde kaiser in part 2 wasnt cool.

It'd be best to buy Ep 1 and 3. 1 because its a classic , as for 3, there is an in game bible to get you back to the latest.

so its pretty safe to play it without prior knowledge and experience from I and II?

i tried the game while buying new games yesterday, first thing that happened was it was asking for me is "would you like to load game data from xenosaga II?" - having no data from xenosaga II, i decided not to get it. so whats the difference if i have it or not? would the characters abilities and stats be higher when i have xenosaga II data loaded?

i find the game pretty interesting to play, and so far those two factors (required knowledge from I & II and the II's game data) is what keeps me from getting it.

well xenosaga 2 gave options to load from xensaga 1 so you could unlock secret costumes and gain stat bonuses. i guess its the same for part 3. i just wanna see them in their swimsuits again.

For Ep 2, you get Ziggy's and Kosmos' swimsuit and a slew of ability points. For Episode 3, you get Shion's Vector uniform from episode 1.

Weird. I thought Ep 2 was okay...except for those GS quests that just have you running back and forth for no reason at all. =_=

I actually love the battle system. Thinking how to break your opponent's defenses is enjoyable. Guess it didn't really clicked did it? Im on my way to play Ep 3. XD
