Hi guys, just found this Ruronin Kenshin(Samurai X) game(Title:Enjou, Kyoto Rinne), newly released for the PS2. The game is so far only available in Japanese and plays like a brawler type of game(Double Dragon/ Streets of Rage/Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors type) Where you control the main character and rampage through waves of enemies and armies www.banpresto-game.com/rurouni/main.htmlif you're on dial up please be patient, it might take a few minutes for the main page to load up, turn on your speakers to check out the cool tunes! It was released last Sept 14, I think, so far reviews in Japan didn't give it a very high grade(25/40?) mainly due to slighly poor controls at times and lots of travelling around. The game is also supposedly cinema heavy and gameplay might get repetitive for some. The Story will greatly focus on the Kyoto Story Arc(Shishio and Company) Hope it comes out locally I wanna do the Amakakeru Ryuno Hirameki Gold

Hey guys, good news, the Ruronin Kenshin Ps2 Game is already out locally! You can get a (non-original)copy from one game shop very near CATS Greenhills(sorry I forgot the name). I checked around the other Game shops in the Shoppesville Plus area but no one else was carrying it yesterday. The bad news? It's not really that great a game, essentially, it's all pretty much in Japanse. There are PLENTY of cinemas but almost all of them are just still screenshots from the series with rolling text and audio dialogue(not actual real time movies). Roughly around the third or forth stage, you'll be taken to Kyoto and you have to explore the town and talk to the townspeople. This is kind of a tough thing to do since it's all in Japanese and there are certain objectives you need to do(including going to neighboring towns). So don't expect to play through this game without a FAQ or walkthrough(I still have to look one up for myself, I haven't checked Gamefaqs yet though), unless you know how to read Japanese. Gameplay wise, the controls are indeed a bit quirky at times(Kenshin sometimes swings left when I want him to swing right, making him miss and open to attack), plus there aren't any power-ups or life-ups on the battlefiend(so far) and the life bar is somewhat hard to understand(I can't tell how close I am to dying usually). Pretty much a far cry from the Dynasty Warriors games from Koei (Kenshin is done by Banpresto). In fairness, it's not a total loss, the moves are pretty simple to execute(EG. RyuTsuiSen is just Square and X) and are still cool to watch Hopefully they'll port it over to the U.S(Banpresto is currently doing a Super Robot Wars Original Generation US port for the PS2). Gold
