you like it? tnx man... he's my fave of all FFVII characters and hopefully i can get an action figure of him... ;D oh i see, so that's where Flash's supposed to be..
back to the topic, my friend told me that 2k8 is really great... but i just wish that the live 08 psp version would be much better... cause i'm kinda used to the controls of lives than 2k's...
but on second thought, don't you guys think that the locally released live 08 is the beta test version?

That's a possibility, I got my local copy last Tuesday. It may be a possible that what we have is a leaked and unfinished version. This happened with Final Fantasy XII.
I observed that in the menu before they show the video clips of particular players (eg. Arenas, LeBron, Kobe), a ball with a silhouette peeks in. I was assuming that the silhouette belongs to the player that is about to be featured in the series of clips, but obviously isn't.

that's right bro.. i also noticed that..
i'm thinking it is the beta version because there's still no review in gamespot... and from what i know, gamespot is really updated... the only review they have with live 08 is the XBOX 360 version...

2K8 owns all basketball games. the slam dunk competition on 2k8 will keep the game fresh 'til 2k9 comes out.

Game journalists typically receive copies of a game earlier than usual (around a month early or so). I'm sure that Gamespot got their copy. This may be sad news.. but I think they won't release a PS2 review since the 'next gen' is practically the 'current gen' now. Plus, Live 08 was released across most consoles, so it just makes sense that they would make reviews of the versions released on the newer consoles. One way to confirm if our copies are the final version is to secure or borrow a 'non-local' copy (you know what I mean) ;D

LoturIf you plan on buying a 'non-local' copy, then get 2K8. Like Shinn said, it has better graphics. Plus, it's cheaper. If you're open to purchasing 'local' copies, then get both, it only costs under P200. ;D

Well I have played NBA live 08 for the PS2 on my friends house. After 3 years absence on playing NBA Live for the PS2 (because my console is busted) finally I've played it again.
What can I say hmmm the controls are the same I think they have already mixed the controls on the previous NBA Live 03 the one with a post up move that you can execute via the L2 botton. That post up move is very well effective on big men like Shaq and other great centers and power forwards. I think that post up botton is absent on NBA Live 07 and 06 series. Over all I give this Basket Ball hoop just 7 out of 10.

Yeah, backing down is easier this time. In the past two games they mapped it on the right analog stick.

I've tried the post up or backing move on Garnett and it works every time and finished it with a slam dunk when he is already close to the ring. ;D I still haven't tried it on Shaq hehehe ..... ;D

Try backing down from the three point line using a good three point shooter, then while backing down, take the shot.
I remember using this tactic way back in Live 2004. ;D

But maybe that depends if there is a defender on the 3 point lane when your backing out. Hehehe .... ;D
