Although Lebron had those historic numbers and Chris Paul with his landmark season, Id say this year's MVP goes to Kobe Bryant. Crunching the numbers we saw a decline this year from him in the following major categories> PPG, minutes played and FG%. He did retain his overall assists average from last year and had less TOs. Imho Kobe was a better player during the 06-07 season. However the numbers dip was not enough to offset the great season they had with Gasol in tow (not to mention Bynum's resurgence), and these more than make up for the MVP argument. He understood that it was not all about him anymore and that somewhat affected his individual totals. Lebron right now is going through the same KB24 syndrome from years back, awesome numbers (even more productive than kobe's) but with marginal team success. CP3 meanwhile missed out on a crucial stretch by failing to land the #1 seed for his Hornets and most prolly, a shot at the MVP. I think their time will come soon, but for now its all kobe.

I think Kobe will finally bag the MVP award this year.
LeBron and CP3 will eventually have theirs.. but not this year. ;D

As much as I want LeBron to bag the award, it seems that Kobe will be the one to get it.
Being an occassional ball-hog he is, he did improve with his passing game this season and I want to see more of it.
The passing game that is, not the ball-hogging. ;D

The passing game that is, not the ball-hogging. ;D he retained the same assist ratio from last year pre i guess the missing piece from his MVP puzzle is team performance, and this is the year where he nailed that with help from gasol and the supporting cast. moreover, kobe is not entirely a media darling so he missed out on the award time and again ;D

I like Lebron James gameplay, but I much prefer Kobe to be the MVP

i think this is the year where Kobe finally becomes MVP...
the overall performance of the Lakers in the regular season is a big plus for him in bagging
the award...
and yes, Lebron's time may not be now but it sure is about to come... and it may be sooner
than expected...
