Courtesy of Greattoys................... Just picked up Dinobot "Bommander" Will make a more detailed review of him once my digicam returns......... Over all, I'll describe it. The box ( two spelling errors , "bommander" included) not sure if this was intentional. Plastic quality: acceptable though it would still go a long way (the black parts anyway), joints nice and tight. Chrome: Excellent! almost like the real thing. Smooth and thick Label sheet: below average ( reprolabels are neater but have the "printer" horizontal streaks ), this was was ok, almost like the real label except for the paper used. It also has the "you apply it if you want to" rub label. Accessories: Don't know if it was from my copy but the double barreled gun needed a little bit of filing for it to fit. Grenade launcher fully functional (can poke the eyes of a kid hehehe) Energo sword plastic molding a bit rough. Paint apps: (red colors on his groin, a bit rough) The box shot: Notice the spelling................... Full shot............................ Full body................... Close up.......................

Over all, if you don't own the original, this is the next best thing. Despite some rough edges for the black parts, the manufacturers did their best in copying the mold.
The gray plastic parts are molded nicely with no rough edges, the energo sword on the other hand is kinda rough. The most complaint you'll elicit is the quality of the label sheet.
Comparing it to the original should you buy one over the original? If Takara'd release one I'd say heck no, get the original. But (with the exception of the rumored MP-07) with no mention of any possible Encore in the near future, then get this one.
Price, a bit for a K.O. but it is a "near accurate" copy with minute imperfections, so if you are the pirate investor, you'd also shell out a higher price no?
In the end, this is for Grimlock fans only ( even the Energon version still pales in comparison IMHO)

I like G1 Grimlock too... even better than the animated one who looks like the fat robot in mighty orbots well at least that's how I see it. Nice review.

Didn't noticed that even though I inspected the box & take a peek inside. It looks orig. to me but it's only a copy, & the price is quite high I wonder why??

So its easier to tell( if the box is still there.) The title is japaneses, but the weird part is the logo, spelling(not to mention its in US typo.) Box color.. It wont pass out as aethere US or japan version ( I dunno, Maybe they mix both US and japan Typos lettering haha ;D). if its loose Check the copyrighted print on the toy itself. I notice sum of them does not have any Copyright Print on them. Which is really good.. ( Prevents conartist to sell them off as the original.)
Good review! Hope You give your personal opinion about it in more detail so, to help out othere tf collectors.

If that's the case... Better rely on Checking it carefully the item first. Is there anything that can define it from the original grimlock?

Unless you open it and the box spelling, you will have a hard time differentiating them (box quality is different too.)
