most definitely pre! you can find the best of em in MG and PG formats, although HGUC zakus are no slouch either For gunpla snapbuilding an older zaku unit (the v1s) can be quite tedious due to the beads, so better go for the version 2 types Then again, might be better to buy em all ;D Sieg Zeon! ;D

are they just as good as gundams, although same by bandai but are they worth it? zaku zaku! are they worth it? ARE THEY WORTH IT?!?! of course they are take it from me, most of my collection are zaku's and other non-Gundam MS. (hence the sig and avatar). in fact, the newer models of zakus and gelgoogs (the version 2s) are even superior to the other gundam kits. the version 2s are a far cry from their version 1s predecessor. and even some of the older non-gundam kits are still excellent, case in point... the Acguy... this baby may look like something that you'll make fun of (uhm hehe i did made fun of it before when i knew better) , but i was blown away when its unique and innovative features dawned on me. (sheesh i hate it when i geek out like this... hahaha ugh... topic... can't... resist... dang!!!!)

hehe don't welcome me yet im still transient... just passing through. oh and i missed the boards. oh and i absolutely agree on what mr. qb said... one of the reason why non-gundam kits have great inner frames is because they don't have the core fighter in the tummy, which in my opinion is a serious limitation to the Gundam kits. hence the Gundam MKII titans variant has awesome articulation especially on the mid section.

a zaku 1? you sure? that kit is uhm unimpressive. if you ask me (which you aren't obviously hehe) i'd recommend the DOM or the Kampfer. good articulations, lots of weapons/accesories, impressive looking baddies, and because i said so (hahaha just kidding on the last one ) oh i'd also recommend the Acguy... sure it may look goofy and all but trust me when i say "i HIGHLY RECOMMNED it" cheers

are zaku model kits as good as gundam kits? YES!
even better if you get ver 2.0!(as others said)
i just got MS-06J Zaku II ver. 2.0. and i thought my first mg was gonna be a gundam-type kit. almost done snapbuilding as i enjoyed every internal part gimmick and details it got(esp the articulation and monoeye!!).
