@darth qb: photobucket tend to resize your photos to less than 1 gb and 1024x768 resolution (whichever of the two is bigger) so if you want to upload bigger pics than that then use flicker
question about the infinite justice:
what's the color of the internal frame of infinite justice in the anime? my friend said it's chrome silver (as opposed to the metallic gold of strike freedom) but I'm not sure about it. I keep watching episodes with infinite justice on it and it looks like the internal parts that can be seen outside is just light gray.
Any suggestions to what color should I use for the internal parts of my infinite justice?

In the MG model kit, its internal frame is silver, not the normal gray color. Silver plastic color, NOT plated or chrome silver.

garretmasterson: As for me it's better to leave as it is or by not painting it. Besides its already look good and they're very tight when putting those pieces.

I believe Tamiya Flat Coat spraycan is acrylic. Just to be sure you can ask the sales people If it is indeed acrylic, then it won't affect the lacquer coat.

errr, first time building a MG kit and first time doing what modelers do (all my kits are just snap built) so I'm a complete newbie on this...Got some few questions po... here's some of the data first...the kit is MG crossbone ver. ka, will just do snap building then will just apply the decals and i won't paint the kit...
regarding applying watermark decals, i read an item there that's named Mr Mark Setter, may i asked if if it's available here, where i can buy it and how do this usually cost?
about the top coat thing...here's a couple of questions 1. I have a MG crossbone ver. Ka, i was wondering if how many cans of top coat will I'll be needing? 2. where can i buy them and how much do they usually cost? 3. can anyone suggest me what kind of top coat should i use on my crossbone that will look like it's like nothing happened? I mean to say that if there's some changes, if will look like minimal... 4.how do i spray them to the kits? (eg. is it just like spraying a vandal on the walls?)
I hope someone will help me, Thanks!

ninebreaker: answers for questions: 1. 1 can of topcoat is enough. 2. lil's hobby store: makati, megamall, trinoma. the smaller can costs 350 bucks while the bigger one costs 550. 3. majority of the modelers prefer flat, it'll give a 'painted' look. while i prefer my kit to look factory fresh, so i use glossy. 4. ahahaha! something like that. but learn to control your spraying. do not overspray it ala 'killing a cockroach with a baygon can'.

tamiya flat coat costs P220 each at lils hobby shop ;D You'll definitely need 2 especially for an MG ;D
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure about the acrylic thinner. I think acrylic is thinned by adding water. Only enamel and lacquer have thinners. ;D
for enamel and lacquer thinners they cost around P180 in special toy shop and lils hobby shop ;D

One small can of topcoat (Mr. Topcoat) sells for P280 in Lil's, already used it on 2 (unpainted) MGs (Wing Ka, RX-78CA) and still has some more left for around 1 more MG

quick question:
what's the difference between HCM pro and robot damashii? and w/c is better
|
|
|
Post by V2 on Mar 8, 2009 13:53:02 GMT 8
hcmpro: 1/220 scaled action figures that are almost like model kits. feature distinctive details and finishings. price ranges from 1.1-1.7k.
robot damashii: successor to the MSiA/EMSiA series. uses better material leading to better if not lesser QC issues. price ranges from 1.1-1.4k for single units.
if you like details, go for HCMPro. if you like them big and you a have cost-for-size preference, go for RD.
