Moonphase Diary writes that a Mazinger TV remake, entitleduShin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-henv, has officially been confirmed according to the latest issue of Monthly Figure Oh magazine (No.133). Such an announcement was first made public late last June, however plans for the project were put on hiatus because of financial circumstances with the production studio. The new Mazinger series is slated to debut later this year and will consists of 26-episodes. Staff and cast credits after the jumpc

Now remember folks, these are only rumors so far, so take them with a grain of salt. WARNING: Possible Spoilers!


-It will take place 2 years after the Mazinkaiser OVA/Movie

-Mazinkaiser has been sealed up due to its immense power.

-New Z Mazinger pilot Myochin Ken who arrives to earth from the Planet Fleed.

-Koji battles Ken with the rebuilt original Mazinger thinking he’s one of Dr.Hells latest minions.

-Ken serves his prince Duke Fleed

-New enemy from inside the earth, Not Mikenese Empire, it will Hades and other mythological creatures.

-The series was delay due to problems with the director, a new one has been hired, the new director Yasuchika Nagaoka (Godannar) will co-work with Masahiko Murata (Mazinkaiser director) and Go nagai to bring a new and exciting visuals and battles never before seen in Super robot anime.

-expect action from Duke Fleed this time.

-This could be Go nagai’s final work as he desires to retire from the bussiness -let us hope he doesn’t-

Wow.. possible Shin Grendizer vs Mazinkaiser perhaps down the road?? Heck, they threw in Groizer X, so why not?? Time will tell

I'm not sure if this set will be sold seperately, as it's called the "Gx45 Care" set. Also note that it says "Chogokin" and not "Chogokin Soul" or Soul of Chogokin.

Well, I agree with the "trade-marked" voice but I still find it annoying. hehehe
