For skycable subscribers, are you guys digi-boxed? It seems this is a new promo thing of sky cable. Just wondering if sky did this cable box thing before?

We have digibox but an old version. Are you pertaining to the commercial of sky cable recently??
Sky cable gave us a digibox long time ago(we didn't pay a single penny for it. Lucky lucky.. lol) so that the illegal connections in our area will not be able use their connections. That's the main function of the digibox. The bad side is, 1 TV per Device only... It cant support two TV's.. And If you want to transfer it to a new/another TV you have to call Skycable to refresh it in their system...

It somewhat improves the quality of your reception. Our old box doesn't have the features of the one being showed in one of Sky cable's commercial. As I said, it's just to prevent illegal connections. Better visit Sky Cable's website to know the features of the new Digi Box. Btw, having a digi box is like having a cd/dvd player connected to your TV.(digi box is connected to the tuner behind the TV: Cable Wire>DigiBox>Cable Wire>TV) It will have it's own RC. The channel number displayed on your TV will be on a single channel. To change the channel you want to watch, the channel displayed on the Digibox should be changed.

Couldn't say if the picture quality is clear since my tv is a sony wega. But from a jvc musee point of view, it is clear. The perks of getting a digi-box, is that you can choose the channels that you want. Once you install your box, sky cable will give you a 7 day trial period. After the trial period expires, you may call sky cable to activate the channels that you want.

@brian 1216- yes it's for all plans @ diogenes- if your tv is cable ready, then you can inquire about the digi-box.
My cable plan is silver. I added 5 channels (each channel has its own amount, ranging from P20-P100.) My original bill is P787. My new bill will cost around P1.5k monthly

Ic. Btw, i forgot to ask. How come you pay 787 for your previous plan? We're also Silver plan, we only pay 680. Did you add any channels before then?
