Anybody enjoying The Big Bang Theory here?
I can't explain it without having to tell a few funny scenes so just get ready for it every Tuesday night on CS/RPN at 8pm before 30 Rock.
Well I like it better than 30 Rock and it got me hooked on getting Original Season 1 DVD and catching up on Season 2 which I hope the DVD will arrive in our video shops when it's released.
I think the title has double meaning, but maybe it's just me... ;D
Probably one of the new shows that was saved after the writer's strike and this recession in the US, as the show got 2 seasons more renewal. Sadly Kyle XY has met its fate after cancelling the show after 3 seasons, probably from belt tightening studios...
Enjoy and share your thoughts of the show... ;D

Well, while I've watched the whole season 1, I can't say I'll be picking up the trail with season 2. It's decent but the laughs aren't witty enough (but that's just me), the punchlines just leave me with a chuckle at best (the most memorable and only laugh out loud part in the whole season for me would have to be the scene with the "I am the Swordmaster" Ebay thing. ). I actually kinda found Sheldon to be super annoying (no offense Sheldon fans, but I rarely find arrogance an admirable comedy relief) and I like Howard and Rajesh more. ;D I really love the "pop culture" references and DC comics homages that appear on the show, that was the highlight of the series for me. If the laughs pickup on the later seasons then I guess might backtrack it someday. Overall, I found myself laughing out more often at the antics of Neil Patrick Harris over at "How I Met Your Mother". ;D My personal top favorite sitcoms would still be (in order) 1. Frasier 2. M*A*S*H* 3. Perfect Strangers 4. Amercian Dad 5. Simpsons 6. Family Guy 7. The Cosby Show 8. How I Met Your Mother 9. Friends 10. Everybody Loves Raymond Gold

Person after my own comedy heart... ;D
Haven't gotten to finishing Season 2 yet and it's all a great watch, in my taste... ;D
In your list the only show I haven't seen are Family Guy and American Dad. But if I can grab copies of those series without making a giant hole in my wallet, whoa, what I wouldn't give to do a marathon over the weekends. ;D
For the new shows though I will stick to BBT for now... and having additional 2 more seasons at 22 episodes each that's quite an accomplishment for a new sitcom.
I'm getting my dose of How I Met Your Mother from ETC with the DVDs now up to 3 Season it's going to be a pain to collect. Specially when the shops don't regularly get some series.

Agreed, even I have to admit getting an additional 2 seasons is still impressive, given that series like "Back to You" starring Kelsey Grammar got cut after 1 season. Hehe I have to say American Dad is closer to Simpsons level comedy(it's from the same creator as Family Guy). Family guy is very funny but on occasion some gags tend to be too excessive (Stewie wants to kill his mom.. literally), so it's a bit of a turn off on certain eps. ;D D'oh! Forgot to include Futurama in the list. Though I guess it would have to be around number 9 on the list. Gold

Gold I'm still finding Frasier and Cheers funnny specially during the reruns on cable (when I could still get one, my new location is not a good candidate according to Sky Cable ) I still hope the Futurama petition works because it's been so long and the news about it's return hasn't seen the light of day (I think). Well, season 2 BBT is getting real funny and I can't wait for the episode when they meet Terminatrix Summer Glau (Sarah Connors Chronilcles) episode (17) and the Youtube version of the Christmas episode, so with 3 more episodes left for this season (I think), this is going to be a great Holy Week of comedy and some anime marathons... my Gundam 00 connections are too slow so I have to leave them for a while until I get better speeds.

LOL! BBT and HIMYM are actually 2 series I always watch...
Sheldon is the type of person I'd definitely love to strangle...
It's weird seeing Doogie Howser still playing a playboy role after he announced he was gay; he even kissed ted mosby in the first season wahahaha...

I had a classmate in highschool whose a lot like Sheldon, in the first year the class hated him but by the end of the our 4th year he was understood. How did it happen? Well I believe it was pent up homosexuality... ;D By 3rd year he was partially coming out, but the closet opened on our 4th year. And probably because their he had 2 gay classsmates he could bond with in the 2nd and 3rd years (got moved to another class on those years so I was spared his obnoxious personality for 2 years ;D). Well, Doogie (Neil Patrick Harris) is your modern day gay guy, the ones who don't come as your usual gay stereotype. He can pull it off though. Unlike those guys who played gay guys in Will and Grace, both are straight but got stereotyped to those roles. Just like the guy who plays Frasier brother Niles in Frasier, and Star Trek's Zulu... Here's one of the most favorite scenes as mentioned by Gold "I am the Sword Master" www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJoJn5M2Ov8Here's the Halloween episode, www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7mefmvn_4g&feature=relatedAnd the Christmas Special which I haven't seen yet but hopefully be a part of my Holy Week marathon dvds... ;D Note: Leonard Nimoy is one of the revered actors in Scifi. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlhHTdDqoBc And lastly Sheldon learning how to drive with a simulator... Note: Batman is Sheldon's favorite Superhero... www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlNRXptrHJM

One more of our favorite lines there is when Marshall defends an argument and ends it with "LAWYERED"@ Genji - nice links! I was actually watching the first few episodes of the 1st Season; really liked the Flash costumes LOL as well as the doppler effect aka the zebra hahaha

I was actually watching the first few episodes of the 1st Season; really liked the Flash costumes LOL as well as the doppler effect aka the zebra hahaha I was hoping to grab some DVD9s of HIMYM since ETC is showing after few seasons jump, but I keep forgetting the title... LOL probably getting too old... LOL The news is that they will reveal Ted's wife before the latest season ends (4th). Although that's seems to remain a rumor from E!. I've burned my avi dl to a single DVD so I wouldn't ruin my originals ;D and that's what I'm watching right now and has been doing marathons since there's nothing good on tv. And now hopefully I'll complete the available episodes for additional marathon time. Episode 17 with the Terminatrix Summer Glau is quite elusive since some links are being closed. So hopefully I don't run out of links... ;D I haven't seen anything I've watched in repetition since I got Seasons 1-4 of Seinfeld, (S 5 was bad copy halfway) and if it was cheaper probably the whole series "Everybody Loves Raymond". Titus is also funny but it got canceled after only 1 season.

Best Quotes:
Sheldon Season 2 Episode 19 - when the new neighbor upstairs played the stereo on loud with DTS and then went on to have coitus, this is Sheldon's reaction to the squaking noise (being naive at sex):
"Oh great, now she's jumping up and down on her bed!"
Howard Wolowitz' Season 2 Episode 17 - his second pick-up line (first was used by Rajesh when he approached Summer Glau:
"Hi! I'm the small package good things come in..."

Hi again, Here's one of the best bits in The Big Bang Theory S2 E20 when the gang went to the comic book store store with Penny: Catch the funny scene on the 3:08 count. I know we don't say it out loud when we scan the older copies in the comic book store, but this could happen... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSaZIzcqe14

If you can't catch up on the CS9 schedule why not check the series on TVShack.com
It's not the best reception but you'll get the Big Bang experience...
Btw the main title of this series has double meaning... for those who're like Sheldon...

Big bang theory is funny! Can't really follow it on tv or cable, but I liked all episodes I've seen. The "sword master" punch line was really a classic!
