So I guess this is how it ends? Archie Andrews proposes to Veronica Lodge on August 19, 2009. In Archie # 600. www.newsarama.com/comics/050927-Archie600.htmlOf course after careful reading, it's supposedly set in a "future" tense (after college and what not) so I'm not sure how canon it's going to be. Archie comics series doesn't deal with absolutes because it will defeat the purpose of the main character being in-love with either Betty or Veronica. As this type of story has been an issue before, it always end up the same way.
Personally, Archie would be better off with Betty, as many readers prefer, but this 6 part comic should be an interesting read.

It's a valid speculation since the market that the Archie series targets is probably getting bigger competition since translated manga and the likes are already gaining attention from younger audience in America alone. |
