Hi Guys! I need some advise. I'm planning to buy a Voltes V toy (my first). I'm a little bit confused what to buy: the GX-31 or GX-31V model. The GX-31V is the latest and has improvements from the GX-31, but what i don't like from this model is that it has labels (e.g. V-1, V-2, etc) in its parts. On the other hand, the GX-31 model is simpler but has less weapons than the GX-31 V.
Basically, whats the difference between the two models? Whats the advantage/ disadvantage of the two?
Need help. Thanks.

I recommend GX-31V. There are issues of chipping of paint in the GX-31.

GX-31 has a better resale value because it's discontinued, it's colors are anime accurate and just plain rocks. The GX-31v on the other hand has the same color as the original 1977 Popy versions, more stable at torso and can be changed into tank mode like the 1977 release.
So far on paint issues, Bandai uses the same paint and primer.
Think of it like this way, the 1977 yellow elbow Voltes V Godaikin is far more valuable than the red elbow. First edition always rules! But if you have the budget get both, but if you have the budget for only one I recommend the GX-31.

I usually like detailed robots with the decals and all, but to me, Voltes V with decals just ain't right, so +1 GX-31!

The color of GX-31 is more accurate than the GX-31V. What I don't like in 31V is the long armpit of the panzer which is very destructed when it forms to robot. And what I don't like in the GX-31 is the ball joints of frigate 4 is loose compared to 31V which is tight. But if you asked me, I recommend to get them both if money isn't a problem.
