I'm only wondering what's the difference (in terms of scale, material, price, articulation, etc.) among the small ready to play gundams that are coming out now, like the fix figuration, super hcm pro, robot damashii and others that i may not know of...it's all confusing to me but they are all quite amusing. thanks in advance!

Gundam Model Kits:
a. Articulation is good, plus open for modifications b. Can be painted c. Cheaper compared to Gundam figures d. More models to choose from e. Features different grade (SD, FG, HG, MG, and PG) f. Made of ABS plastic
Gundam Figures:
MSIA:
a. Made of PVC rubber material b. Scale is a tad bit smaller compared to a 1/144 Gundam model c. Very sturdy and ideal for playing d. Paint job is par, but often has paint bleeds e. Limited series (it ended with the Throne Units from the 00 lineup and haven't produced any since) f. A bit cheaper compared to RDs and HCM Pros
SCM-HCM Pro a. Small figures, great possibility and gimmicks b. Loads of accessories c. Scale is around 1/200 (same height as a gashapon) d. Articulation is good and comparable to its 1/144 Gundam model version e. Made of hard PVC, but joints are sometimes weak or become loose after extensive play. f. Series is mostly focused on Universal Century Gundams (and features a few SEED and SEED/Destiny line-up) g. Clean paint application, no bleeds. h. A bit pricier compared to model kits and MSIAs i. Sometimes has ABS plastic joints
Robot Damashii (RDs)
a. Great figures, and great paint applications (few to none paint bleeds) b. Features tons of articulation, accessories and gimmicks c. Made of sturdy PVC material, joints are great and will not give to play. d. Height is the same as a 1/144 scale Gundam. e. Pricey (around PHP 2000~PHP 2400 depending on the model) f. Features mechs from Code Geass (they are known as Robot Tamashii in the Code Geass line-up), and mostly the 00 Gundam lineup (although they released two versions of the Crossbone awhile back).
Hope that helps.

GFFs
a. Made in PVC, with metal or ABS plastic joints b. Articulation is par with RDs c. Very detailed, since Katoki designs them (expect a lot of warning markings) d. Often the price is the same as an MG kit (PHP 2600~3000) e. Often has additional armor pieces or gimmicks included in the pack f. Features exclusive Katoki designed Gundams. g. Although articulated, its not really recommended for play since joints are extremely stiff.

Hope that helps. Let me just add a few Super HCM-Pro - scale is 1/144 - Excellent overall design and decal work - Generous in Articulation and Accessories and gimmicks - Currently available: RX-78-2, RX-78-2 (green), Zaku Green, Zaku Char, Exia, Exia DX w/ repair parts, Unicorn (november release - 10,600+ yen) - Price range P3000++ Also an addition on bro tri3dge's statement... Robot Damashii <Side MS> is not as tall as HG 1/144s, perhaps same scale as MSIA but definitely not as tall as HG 1/144. Price range for the Gundam Line P1200-P2500. Those who reached the 2000+ mark were Trans-am Raiser, Arios archer, Seravee and the Crossbones Size comparison between RD and HG 1/144 Exia R2 RD and HG 1/144 O Gundam Let's wait for bro V2's input about GFFs AFAIK, GFFs lacks articulation compared to others, pricey, great design, smaller than 1/144 but I think bigger than RD or MSIA
