Those four dark gray are made of diecast.




Whole shin armor for both lower legs armor is made of diecast.


Rollers below the foot armor. too bad, does not rotate and cannot stick out.






































Don't lock the Shoulder armors of Ex-Gear to Alto's shoulders and you can pull more poses w/ the shoulders.










I dunno, I'm not fond of it but it looks cool, hehe. Like a clown or a chef. ;D








You cannot put the big gun on the left because there is no left gun hand.

Very nice review. As I thought, Alto is using the very same body frame as the SH Figurarts Domon Kasshu.

No wonder the price was that high given the amount of diecast they gave on the EX Gear.

The hand shaped as a plane that he used in the first episode is awesome! ;D

any possible notes on parts that are sensitive to breakage/stress?

i think he pointed out the ankle joints in his response on his Gundam thread although i did point out that the frame for SHF Domon (same frame as this one) can take a lot of pressure on various poses so this is least likely.

i'm thinking the wing binders might be a problem if those are made of soft plastic...bending and all that.

As for the prone to breakage joints or parts, well, the ankle joint w/c is thin might be prone to get loose and might be broken. Most of the joints are tight, I like the elbow, shoulder, and knee joints. The right hip joint on my Alto is a bit loose than the left, so when I tried to pose him in flying position, the right leg moves forward a little bit but not real loose as floppy.

I think 90% of the Ex-gear is made of ABS. The wings are cool, made of ABS. The joints in the wings are nicely made, you don't have to worry about it. It is not loose and won't sag. The peg of the wing unit is kinda short w/c is connected at the back of the armor, but not a problem.

Get it! Highly recommended for Macross F fans! I wanna see Ozma, Luca, and Michael, also Ranka and Sheryl (w/ no panty mode?!) and can use Luca's Samson. ;D
