I'm not really a big fan of gundam and gunze spray cans since they're a bit expensive. Which is why I turn to industrial sprays. Bosny for primer and Pylox for color.
Question: Has anybody tried using WIN/TOA spray cans?

Well, I just used TOA Acrylic Lacquer (Metallic Silver) for the first time today and it seems fine to me. They also have Acrylic Primer.

@evangelion thanks bro! Hmm..that does look great..just the right metallic silver for pipes etc. antimatteryeah..it's actually a bit cheaper that pylox.. The reason i'm asking is specifically because Pylox's pricing on their RED paints..it costs about P250 each. That's almost double the price of their other colors which usually range @ P140-160. And as i checked out TOA/WIN's prices, they were actually a bit more consistent when it comes to pricing.

Base on experience with TOA
Their primer sucks since it chips off easily, though their colors are great (especially the metallic ones), their Clear Coat also gives off that nice candy coating effect. Price is also good (PHP 90~100 per can)

@paulrivera You see that gold part up there? If you can find this spray can in Pinas, grab it. This is as close as Alclad 2. Try the local hardware shop.

tri3dgewow..i was actually thinking of trying their primers instead of the usual bosny..thanks for the heads up! @evangelion hmm..i think i saw one of those in a hardware store near here..i think i just might get one for internal frames..thanks!! btw guys..i once read a post somewhere here that rj dull coating gives off a somewhat mr.top coat flat finish. but thing is i tried looking for a "dull" coating can but couldn't seem to find any. is there really a RJ clear coat "dull"? another question..i'm thinking of buying the metallic ash grey of pylox (P220) instead of the dark grey of tamiya or mr.color (same price). has anyone tried it? I'm really learning a lot here so thanks for tips!

Dull coat = Flat Clear Coat in terms of RJ and Bosny. The finish for both brands (Bosny and RJ) are 80% similar to Mr. Topcoat, only difference is that it has a more "grainy" textured finish, but with enough sanding it will remove the grainy finish and give you around 90% similar finish to Mr. Topcoat
As for Pylox, I've heard from some members that it has a habit of "melting" the plastic if used too much, but I haven't tried it yet.

tri3dgeHmm..i see..thanks bro! another thing..hehe senxa na dami tnong. i checked out RJ spray cans yesterday as I read your post. I can't seem to find any "dull" clear coats. the only ones I saw was RJ clear coat or Pylox clear coat. The finish I wanted to achieve is the one similar to "Flat" top coat or Mr. Topcoat.

Try going to other hardware stores because the item is either out of stock or they don't carry that many variants of the brand. There are times when you will have to wait almost a month for a restock....

For better result go for Tamiya and Mr. Color because they have finer nozzles and will not feel as gritty as your ordinary hardware spray paint...
Here's an idea I was dying to attempt, but haven't emptied any Tamiya or Mr. Hobby Spray Paints yet...
If you have an empty Tamiya or Mr. Hobby spray paint, remove the nozzle and check what brand they will fit in hardware spray paints. You'll probably need to clean this up a lot if the paint is too thick for the fine nozzle though...

As far as i know, acrylic epoxy paints have a tendency to be thick which is also similar to bosny paints. Haven't really tried RJ though.

As far as I know all spray cans has a tendency to flood or to be thick if you spray to near to the object.
