Hi guys, just starting to collect yamatos. Actually, i already have 2 yamatos that i got waaaay back (4 years i think...impulse buy, hehehehe) that are 1/48 scale but it seems that the new yamatos are 1/60 scale. i'm really torn between staying with 1/48 (which is hard to find nowadays) or switching to 1/60 scale.
I'm really a "same scale" collector..........any suggestions?

Seeing that you like similar scales, go for the newer 1/60's, they have some improvements over the 1/48 scale in terms of loose parts. These videos might help you out: Though I suggest staying away from the Hikaru Ichijo and Roy Focker units for now since they have problems with cracking shoulders due to ridged metal pins. And also from the VF-1D and the newly released GBP Armor VF-1J (since this one also used the same Hikaru Ichijo units in the first release). So far Max and Kakizaki's units are doing good, and also the VT-1 and VE-1 and the Super VF-1J Max/Miria. If you want a Focker or Hikaru unit, these newly released ones already have the shoulder fixes: www.hlj.com/product/YMT00179www.hlj.com/product/YMT00180
