Shipping method to use

Since my friend often ship me items from japan..I started wondering now why he always use EMS as shipping method..I mean yeah it arrives very quickly and I often get shocked when one package arrives(I don't care anyway..hehe XD)..

now I wanna try ordering online myself..so I wanna ask..for those who manages to use EMS and SAL..based on your experience, which of the 2 do you prefer when purchasing online??

I've already read the terms of the 2 methods and compared it to one another and it seems like EMS has the best ETA for delivery while SAL has the cheapest cost..I wanna try experimenting but I'm afraid of sacrificing one item just to get proof..

If you have patience and need to save on money, or the item is relatively cheap you can use SAL. If you want the item very soon and dont mind paying some fortune on shipping, then EMS for you. EMS is trackable, SAL is not. IF you are buying an expensive item, EMS is safer but can cost a lot. Base your decision on the cost of the item you are importing. Hope that helps.
