P.S. I opted to use the blood splatter part because I love how the blood spewed all over when EVA 02 got owned in the movie.

Revoltech Series 90:
EVA Type-02 "The Beast"



Brief Background:
Originally piloted by Shoryu Asuka Shikinami in Evangelion 2.0, EVA Production Type-02 was decided to be put out of comission by the Vatican treaty. However, when the angel, Zeruel attacked, Mari Makinami hijacked the EVA and used it to fight with the angel.
When she saw that it was no match for the it, she released the EVA's restraining bolts using the password "The Beast" to free the EVA from its human form. This revealed a more animalistic EVA Type-02, with very nimble movements and somewhat savage style of attacks.



Articulation: ****
The thighs doesn't utilize any form of revo joint so the movement there is quite limited. However, the use of double-hinged revo joints on the shoulders and knees gives this monster a HUGE range of articulation on those joints. The body is hinged at 2 points, enabling it to bend forward totally. The elbows are connected via 2 small non-revo joints. The neck is articulated at 2 points with the lower one using a revo joint and the upper one using a non-revo one. The jaw is articulated at 1 point to close and open it at a very large angle. 2 of its restrain rods are articulated as well. The ankles are connected using a non-revo joint With all that articulation, you can easily imitate various poses such as the Spiderman pose below.

The glossy finish makes this beast a sight to behold. Along with the well painted details on its face, it can easily depict an insanely vicious visage.

It costs around PhP 1,500 in Greenhills (forgot where I bought it) which is around the average Revoltech price. Quite an average price but it's worth every centavo!

I would've enjoyed gettting the Evas from the new movies, but I am one to follow the series first before enjoying the figs... great poses though...

I believe the 2nd movie is out but not the fansubs... The Prof. Layton movie took more than half a year to have a fansub available

Nyoron is at 25% fansubbing Eva 2.0 and it's on hiatus... hopefully we get to see a fansub early next year...

yea its out. even the dubbed one. i think some nice guy posted it here 2 weeks ago

The official dubbed version will be coming out next year but from which company Manga, Funimation or Mad, that's still the question...
