hei guys, just want to ask if anyone of you still have old copies of Funny Komiks, specially those issue that have the series combatron.
there's a project to put combatron series online. been a fan since i was a kid and will be contributing stuff that i still have to the said project.
if ever you guys have old issue of this comics a scan of combatron page will do. just pm me or email me at cf-mit@yahoo.com
your help will be much appreciated.

wow combatron... brings back memories... hmmm combatron's the pinoy version of megaman right with shades of transformers and super robots innit? i remember askal and dobbernaut, abodawn, deathmetal, axel, metalika, deathmetal and whatnot. the storyline wasn't finished, was it?
good luck finding those vintage FUNNY komiks ;D

Combatron? I can't remember this series... all I can remember is "Niknok ang batang mahilig sa manok", "Planet of the Apes", "Mahimud Ali".... I can still remember submitting a drawing to their publication. I think I still got the issue : ) Oh boy those were the days... when comics ruled! I missed Shocker, Aliwan, Lagim. There's also this Devil Car and "Kamandag". Too bad Philippine comics is dead due to TV : (

Actually hindi ata Megaman, pero si Magnetman kasi may malaki siyang magnet sa ulo. Yeah, I'm a big fan, I think I can find someone who still owns Funny Comics.

I really liked Funny Komiks like Eklok, Pitit, Tomas en Kulas, Planet Op di eyps, and most of all COMBATRON and TINAY PINAY.

This is probably a long shot but maybe you know somebody at Channel 2?
They're doing the TV Series Komiks so they probably have contact numbers of the publishers/writers of the series. If I'm not mistaken, the old Komiks Publishing House for all Komiks series in the past are under one House.
Maybe they have the author's contact number or something.

i think i remember an old character from funny komiks called superkat.a guy from hanna-barbera was impressed by the artist' work that he hired(arrr) him and was sent to the l.a. studios.it was '85 when i heard the story and when i noticed his work was no more at funny komiks during '79-'80.  |

the combatron series has ended. it ended up in the scene where Empoy went bak to a grave and he gave back the combatron powers/armour to the sould of the original combatron since the threat has been ended unlike little ninja, where in the story was cut short.

Wow! Now that's cool! I've never been able to follow Combatron really, much less finish it. But I'm proud to say it was my No.1 reason for buying Funny Komiks back then (I kinda didn't care about the rest of the Funny Komiks titles, as long as I had my Combatron).
Anyway, to ninja: Great scans! I've never read that ish, and You've made may day.

Waaahhhh!!!!  How i wish my naitabi pa akong kopya ng "Combatron Series"...ito lang talaga yung inaabangan ko noong teenager pa ako.. ang ganda ng kwento..grabe! dahil nga dun, nainspire me gumawa ng comicbook...iba kasi ang impact nun sa akin eh... ;D Sino kayang mayroon kopya o scan ng final episode ng Combatron?! Contributors,anyone? |
