Does anyone here know who mekekwek is? ive asked so many pinoys out there but they dont know what or who mekekwek is..It's also a Pinoy Comics but i think its not part of the funny comics...I followed the series then my nanay got angry and stop me from borrowing the neighbours comics.. dont remember..you know who blue fox and silver fox? funny Comics ata din yun.. Bro, are you sure he's a comic character? The mekekwek that I know is a small person na artista noon...if my memory still serves me right =) |

The mekekwek that I know is a small person na artista noon...if my memory still serves me right =)  and what i remember of the name 'Mekekekwek' is a name mentioned in one of TVJ's (Tito Vic Joey) classic comedy songs.

The mekekwek that I know is a small person na artista noon...if my memory still serves me right =) I know this sound a little weird coz' in my provice when we lost something the elders always says "hanapin mo sa puno ng mekekekwek" up until now they still use that word... Is it a TREE???  in contrast, the word "kengkoy" is a terminology for cartoon strip and "barok" for katutubo(suposed to be baroque as in old style) and pinoy cartoonist mortalize them to create these pinoy stip charaters its like lapine language in "watership down" |

I think you were referring to Kepweng? LOL! RainerOAll these years of uncertainty..finally, someone confirms. Reminscing back, I realized that Mekekwek is not really suitable for Minors to read.  @no3ljm Sir, thanks for the Link! That further clarifies my clouded childhood memories..It's nice that some pips out there knows what am talking about and not get laughed at. LOL! Seeing the list, I was going like "SEE IT"S THERE! IT EXIST! MEKEKWEK IS REAL!!" ;  ;D  And i think Mekekwek were a hit back in those days that even TVJ uses it as reference. (?) LOL ;D If memory serves me rightn Mekekwek looked something like this? U guys remember na?  Pardon my drawing but its not a carrot.@ladyluck. I didn't know about that one being a tree. Guess there's so many back referrence/ origin of Mekekwek. Thanks for the added info! LOL.  Just want to share..The word Kengkoy was used alot by my Father when i was in HS.. While i was watching Chop-chop ver. Evangelion on Ch2. He said: "O KENGKOY na namn ung Pinapanood mo? Last time I read FK, Combatron and Death Metal joined forces to fight someone much stronger. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Axel and Metalika are dead by then. I'm not sure about Dobbernaut though, I think I remember seeing him in one of the pages but I'm not sure...

*sigh I hope some one would re issue this kind of old comics like they did in Pugad Baboy. Brings back the old days.
What if some one will make this one as a tele serye or a tele nobela that would be cool.

I'm not sure about Dobbernaut though, I think I remember seeing him in one of the pages but I'm not sure... That would be Mega Death (who resembles Unicron). Metalika and Axel both died during their battle with him. Axel was sucked by a giant whirlpool of sorts (or was it a tornado?) while Metalika sacrificed herself to destroy Mega Death's right fist. Dobernaut survived. @daycot Same here, never knew what how the story ended.  |

Cay@ Actually everybody dies except Combatron. Dobbernaut died too Empoy (Combatron's real identity) gave the spirit of Combatron back to his father's grave which is the original Combatron and that's how the story ended...in a way |

Cay, I think Deathmetal died too...that's why the Combatron series sucked after the Omnicron(megadeath?) like planet was defeated. Everybody dies except Combatron. I clearly remember only Combatron survived till the end. Pssstt, how are the scans? =) |

I didn't know that my favorie Death Metal died.... Do you remember the guy called Dranduff?? Hehehe! A robot with dandruff. Hahaha! Nope don't remember him but he sound funny =) Combatron faced many evil robots? Dandruff is probably one of those that I forgot =) |
