Well, all things considered, the movie Optimus Prime really doesn't go far from the look fans love, based on what the photo shows. If i know my photo-editing correctly (and i think i pretty well do... ) most of the edits were mostly color apps, something the toymakers could easily do, if they did want to... The form looks good really, though I agree, the face really COULD use a little refining, but hey, as they say, "that's progress'... Hay! Another line, another Prime, man, my wallet's gonna have a heart attack!

GRIPE:
Woke up today to find that a burglar entered our (me and my bro's...) room while we were asleep and stole our celphones! CRAP!!! The glass blinds were removed and the freaking theif entered through the gap. No one noticed it, though a relative did say the dog was going crazy a few hours ago early into the morning! CRAP!!! CRAP!!! AND DOUBLE CRAP!!!
Well, the toys were left untouched but still...
Now, we're all shaken, scared, angry, frustrated, and we can't do anything about it.
CRAP!!!
I can't stop ranting on how bothered I am by that... Really, freaking really. I thank the Lord that I still woke up today...

As far as I know, the English-dubbed Gundam Wing is from the Cartoon Network release of FUNimation's Gundam Wing dub. Hope this helps! One thing to note, the english-version Gundam Wing dubs sold in most Anime shops is probably the same thing, complete with that annoying Relena... Jya na! there might be a mistake! bandai entertainment and the canadian based ocean group did this! Hmm... I was afraid of this... A friend of mine also commented the same thing... That yes, it was Bandai Entertainment and Ocean Group who subbed this... Weren't they the ones who did the english dub for MSG:Char's Counterattack? Anyways, thanks for the clarification, I stand corrected. Now hopefully, they air it already!

I think its more plausible that RPN 9 is still trying to complete their episodes. I really don't thjink they need MTRCB clearance for this sinc GMA7 aired Gundam Wing (in tagalog) what, 8 years ago...
Well, for those without cable, it'll be nice to revisit this...

Zechs Merquise and Relena Peacecraft are THE most direct homages to Char Aznable and Sayla Mass that I have heard of, with Zechs being almost identical... Kuzzey Buskirk, Sai Argyle Fllay Alster and Mirialia Haww (spellcheck please...) are a parallel, although somewhat lesser versions of Kai Shiden, Frau Bau, Hayato Kobayashi and Mirai Yashima. Kojiro Murdock is an equivalent of Ryu Jose, down to the skin color. The only thing that's better with Murdock is he doesn't die... that job goes to Tolle Koenig I dunno if it was mentioned already, but Gundam Seed was supposed to be a 20th-century re-telling of the original Mobile Suit Gundam story, with Gundam Seed Destiny being the Zeta Gundam counterpart. That's why there are a LOT of references in SEED and SEED from the original MSG While I think SEED manages to be a competent MSG rehash, Destiny fails iserably as a Zeta rehash. See Athrun try to do a Quattro Bajeena (aka Char) only to fail in the first few eps...

Mahaba ito...
What do you think of this:
You see Amuro Ray in just about every A.C. main character EXCEPT Garrod Ran, Athurun Zala and Shinn Asuka.
As for Char Azanable, his mold diverges into "Basic Masked Guy" type and "Rival Ace Pilot" type. The closest we get is Schwartz from G Gundam, and Zechs Merquise from Gundam Wing. He's split into Mwu La Flaga and Raww Le Creuset in Gundam Seed
It should be noted that in Gundam X, Jamil Neate IS Amuro and Lancerow Dowell is his Char. This applies since Gundam X is a sort of A.C. type sequel to the Mobile Suit Gundam story...
Lalah Sune is seen in Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny as Fllay Allster and Stellar Lousier, if we go by the "Phantom Dead Girl" scene. Allenby does something like this in G Gundam too.
shiniduo is correct in saying that Relena Peacecraft is parallel of Sayla Mass
Ranba Ral is present in Andrew Waltfield in Gundam Seed and, to some extent, Gentle Chapman from Gundam G.
Since all of the A.C. stories are chopsuey interpretations of the U.C. stories, we tend to see a lot of parallels in them but in the process, a lot of the characters are also chopsuey versions.
Note: I haven't seen Turn A Gundam so I'm not yet in the know about who's who in there.
