Basically, I do not intend to resell what I already bought but t really depends on the circumstances. If the item is first owned or I really bought it from the store, the probability of me selling it would be soooooo low! ;D If I bought it from another, then its 50/50!

it depends. allow me to be brutally honest: - if its assembed only with no decal applications - 2000 to 1600 - assembled with decal applied and panel-lined - 1500 to lower - assembled, painted, customized - 1500 to lower (unless the kit itself won awards on some modelling contests or you have a reputation of being a d**n good modeller, the price could go higher) - assembled, unpainted but has loose joints and has minor damage/missing parts - 1500 to lower (but when the loose joint or damaged part is of MAJOR IMPORTANCE - the price could go plunge downward) take my MG WZero that i recently sold for example, its unassembled, complete with decals and box but i kept the manual - eventually i could've sold it for 2300 (original price is 2500) but i sold it off at 2000 because i dont want anymore haggling negotiations with it. besides, 2000 for an unassembled complete kit without the manual is a steal. another example would be the PG Zeta Gundam that i also sold - assembled and 80% painted. i kept the technical and data manuals but i threw the assembly manual for ease of disassembly and made scans of the transformation manual - all for 6k (actually i stupidly forgot to add the cost of shipping clause which cost me 900+ for sending it to CDO - so i sold it technically for 5k). so if you really want to resell your kit at a higher price? well once you cut if off the sprues you're already depreciating it - thats the risk. i tend to sell off my kits "reasonably cheap" simply just for kicks because im curious on the way its constructed, etc. and when i grow tired of it, i sell it off. i usually sell it off without the box (depends if i like the box art) and manual. and thats how the trend goes. kinda fresh start na naman kase ako sa gundam, totally stop ako 7 years ago (masyado busy sa work and family, got to stop talaga). well now semi retired na ako, madame na ako spare time sa hobby. i am interested now dun sa mga 1/60 scale na gundams. tnx talaga to V2, for ur very informative insights sa pricing ng built kits (if ever i would sell them again). according to ur examples: kits that are- assembled only - can be sold at 70-80% of cost price assembled with panel line & decal - 60% to lower of cost price assembled, painted, customized - 60% to lower of cost price assembled but damaged - 60% to lower of cost price tnx talaga for ur time in giving me this insights V2, appreciate them very much. and also to all you guys who replied to this thread, muchos gracias my friends. for now, i would go up to panel lines and coating. with minimal detail painting to spruce up an unpainted mech. pero i'll keep the stickers in their mint conditions. with this method also, madame ako magagawa na kits in a short period of time (medyo matagal kase i paint sila totally, and my painting skills needs to be fine tuned pa, cguro tsaka na). again, tnx tnx tnx

actually, i was thinking of making a feasibility study thread about the resale prices of gundam kits, but since you beat me to it, its ok.
i'd like to clarify on some things however:
assembled only - can be sold at 70-65% of cost price assembled with panel line & decal - 60% to lower of cost price assembled, painted, customized - 60% to lower of cost price assembled but with lost/damaged parts (non-critical) - 60-50% to lower of cost price assembled but lost/damaged parts (critical) - 50-40% to lower of cost price
also some clarifications on the critical/non-critical damage and lost parts: critical: head antennas, beam rifle barrels, connecting pegs/balls for joints, items that give the kit its special distinction - like for instance: Red Frame's Gerbera Straight sword. non-critical: extra hands, beam saber blades, extra parts.

hmmmm... this thread is giving me ideas of selling my MG Wing0... not yet sure about that... im thinking maybe i'll use the money to buy the MG zeta plus c1... i might want to collect the MGs of the ZZ gundam series... the zeta pluses are way too cool and the color isn't quite common, that's why i like 'em... and the S-gundam which i'll be getting once it arrives at GT... the Qubeley,... just cute.... what do u think guys?
