Ouch....so sorry to hear that. Ironic that the US doesn't tax packages that come from abroad esp model kits. I know this coz my trade buddy gets packages from me and delivered pa by their mailman with no tax.


They're a bit inconsistent in computing taxes....the most that I paid for was 800+, it was for a huge box declared as a gift from a trade buddy. Contents estimated to be around 15K and it was sent via EMS too and my buddy forgot to devalue the stuff. Buti nalang I brought extra cash and I was also relieved on the final computations...I was thinking it was gonna be 2-4K. I doubt if I can get away with getting the package for free aside from the 30 pesos since the customs people know that I have been getting packages every now and then.

After that...buti nalang one of the PO people said the next time, I need to come at a certain time and pay 200-300 then they'll release the package with no fuss. Ever since...I pay that amount for packages with toys bigger than a shoe box. It's illegal I don't recommend this method if you don't know them but fight fire with fire.

if you're sending it out depende yan sa weight...usually they charge 1.8K - 2+ K for the 1st two kilos...800+ for every succeeding half kilo or 1.6K+ per succeeding Kilo up to a certain weight....basta they have a bracket.
