Q: Is it true that a Soul of Chogokin Voltes V toy will be released? What will it look like? How tall is it? When will it be released? How much? Can we put reservation now? A: Yes, it is true, Soul of Chogokin GX-30 will be Voltes V. The official blueprints / sketches from Bandai is already out at the latest issue of Dengenki Hobby Japan toy magazine. The blueprints gives 100% confirmation that they will be releasing it in the future. You can view a scan of the page at the link below this paragraph (thanks to Omni X). A working prototype is not yet available. Toy is estimated to be around 9 inches tall (a bit taller than SOC GX-03 Combattler V). Rough estimates would set the release date to early to mid 2006 assuming Bandai releases a new Soul of Chogokin toy every 2-3 months. Price estimates from other Greattoys.net Message board members would peg it around 18000 to 20000 yen (9000 to 10000 pesos). Acceptance of final confirmed reservation with downpayment will start when we have a release date available from Bandai (usually 6 months before release date) but we do request everyone to sign up on the reservation list available at all branches of Greattoys.net and at the Voltes V section at this message board. Thanks REX 203 of Robotjapan made this colored version of the blueprint, you can view it below..

sign up ka sa reservation list for SOC V5 (GX-30). Release date is guesstimated anytime November 2005 to as late as May 2006. Price estimated PHP11,000 ($200). Get ready to make downpayment as soon as Malvin annonces it. Good luck to us all....

yup...Rex of R-J used photoshop to create the colored and black version based on the released blueprint... just to give members an ideas of what to expect... ... so far, only the colored (hopefully, anime accurate) version was announced... to date, bandai has not announced plans of a black version... ... the black version SOC voltes is always a welcome treat ;D... ... in Black SOC combattler, there were 2 pewter figs included in the set.... if they will do the same to Voltes, who would you choose and why? ;D IF there's going to be a black version, I'll still get both! ;D BTW, I think the black colored pic posted is an edited pic. If I have to choose only 2... and it doesnt matter whether they are protagonists or antagonists... i would choose Steve and Zardoz... ... protagonists only... Steve and Jaime... ... the rest in the following order... Mark, Big Bert and Little John.... and if ever, they decide to make Little John, they should throw in an Octo-one... since he is small anyway... ;D yup...Rex of R-J used photoshop to create the colored and black version based on the released blueprint... just to give members an ideas of what to expect... ... so far, only the colored (hopefully, anime accurate) version was announced... to date, bandai has not announced plans of a black version... ... the black version SOC voltes is always a welcome treat ;D... ... in Black SOC combattler, there were 2 pewter figs included in the set.... if they will do the same to Voltes, who would you choose and why? ;D I would choose three; namely Steve, Big Bert & Little John. ;D For me, they stand out since it's their dad that created Voltes.
