tutuo ba ito? channel 2 daw gagawa? tagalog ba o ingles? Yup it's true! Parang sa HERO ipapalabas. Kasama na daw si Jason ng Pinoy Big Brother sa mag-du-dub. Aayusin daw ang pag-dub ng lumang dubbing. WHAT"S WRONG WITH THE OLD DUBBED VERSION?  Maganda naman ah! Yang channel 2 talaga!  |

if they will redub voltes, i do hope they become true to their word na "aayusin ang pagka-dub"
... they should also consider the proper treatment of idiomatic expressions and the like...

Toni Gonzaga announced last week that Sandara Parks has been tapped to be the voice actor for Jamie/Megumi Oka. She didnt name the other talents.
My guess is that ABS-CBN/Hero has acquired the rights to air Voltes and now wants a 'fresh' take on the show. The last thing ABS/Hero channel would want is giving GMA 7 a free plug when they start airing the show.

I am not a big fan of anime dubbed in Filipino, but I am a bit optimistic that ABS/Hero would handle Voltes differently. It is VOLTES and not just another cartoon. The fan base is bigger and the original dubbing was handled very well. I assume the rights were not cheap and it makes no sense paying well-known personalities like Sandara Parks if they plan to botch the job. Still, i have seen the show so many times that i wouldnt watch the entire series again even if GMA was hired to be one of the voice actors. What i want to know is why cant they air other SR shows that Telesuccess might still have the rights to? |

i heard from a reliable source that Hero (nor any other company outside Japan) cannot get a license to airGo Nagai titles...
... We all know that Go Nagai travels a lot... and he's seen one too many tv companies world wide air his creations without acquiring a license nor giving him proper credit... that's why he decided not to allow his creations to be aired outside of Japan...
... if ever a company airs it in the Philippines... you can be sure that they did it without acquiring a license from Go Nagai (Dynamic Planning)
... i just hope Go Nagai changes his mind

I thought telesuccess owned the local rights for mazinger z? I remember them even showing clips for it back in animequest 2001.
I dont think sandara can do a good job in dubbing megumi, but It would look good if she cosplays as jamie/ megumi like she did in ragnarok.
