These upcoming FF VII figures deserve a separate thread from the Advent Children thread... Old-school Final Fantasy VII action figures based on the PSOne videogame, arriving in December 2007! source: Kid NemoAh, FF VII nostalgia! How can I skip getting the game version of Cloud now? The details on the Daytona bike are even better than Fenrir (Cloud's bike on Advent Children)...I am so glad that PlayArts is making action figure replicas based on the FF VII videogame...And I'm twice as glad that I didn't buy the completed resin-cast Cloud with Daytona replica before...

@no3ljm Yea, there is. I think he's gonna be a part of the 2nd wave w/ Yuffie and Vincent, not sure about red XIII. You can see in the pics. there are two Sephiroths, the one slightly facing the camera is the video game version. Notice his hair - how high and pointy his bangs are... The one on the back is the advent children version. You can compare those 2 w/ these pictures: AC version: www.flickr.com/photos/raichu08/238933783/video game version: www.flickr.com/photos/18251255@N00/1170771583/

cool! yes! another Sephiroth. more maangas than the AC version. thanks for the links, shino.
RedXIII & Cait Sith will be a part of the playarts video game series. though they decided to put Cait Sith on RedXIII this time instead with a Big Moogle.
ipon-ipon. i'm just so glad that the first wave will be available on december and the Daytona set on january. more time to save. ;D

@shinn Yeah.. why aren't Reno and Kadaj shown? I see AC Yuffie's back on one of the pics. ;D
So that means two Squeenix will release two Yuffie figures.. the original version and the AC version.
Why is Cait Sith paired with RedXIII? I miss that huge Moogle Doll..

@shinn well, we just have to settle for Advent Children's Reno for now.
Cay i'm sure Advent Children's Reno and Kadaj is somewhere there in the photo. besides, this thread is for the video game version of FFVII figures. and yes, Playarts will release 2 versions of Yuffie. Advent Children's version this year, while the video game version by next year as their wave 2 set. same goes for Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa and Vincent, who'll have 2 versions of themselves.
as for Cait Sith and RedXIII video game versions, there's no reason yet why they are paired with each other. besides, they could have made a Big Moogle for Cait and little cubs for RedXIII.
to check more on Advent Children's Reno and Kadaj, be sure to check Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Figures.

small updates. after checking the latest issue of Hobby Japan (October issue), it looks like RedXIII will have an open up jaw. that would make this one cooler. ;D one of the photo shows all the articulations on RedXIII. i'm not so sure if the tail will have a translucent red-orange material. hope it will. and a close-up photo of Cait Sith.

Lightning has been announced years ago, I guess they're trying to have her released at the same time as the "delayed" FF13 PS3 game. Also, Lightning shouldn't be the only one in the FF13 line. There should be "Storm" as well, the mysterious man in black in FF13-Versus. According to my Japanese friend, there are 47 Play Arts in existence. ga.sbcr.jp/news/0705/043/index.html
