Shin has answered the Alt/BT query adequately; I'll just add that BT has as many recolors if not more. ;D They even have BT-only recolors like the red Meister, blue Prowl and others [BT* Broadblast and Alert haven't been announced for a US release].
in other news, there is no more TF Commemmorative series. TRU/Hasbro have discontinued the line indefinitely, for now at least. Aside from that, the first few Commemmorative reissues included safety-modified weaopons [larger/longer launchers/missiles, chromed/unchromed plastic] but later releases changed back to the original material.
The TF Collection/book box reissue has more releases and rarer items in it, since Takara has a different expense model to consider than Hasbro does. One example: they were able to spend to retool the mold to re-release Soundwave [and, consequently, Soundblaster]. [Hasbro's Commemmorative series also reissued Stepper as Richochet though, so I think both are working hard to make the rarer figures available].
Due to their stronger reissue market, Takara has released more varied product as well - the 84-85 minibots, Blitzwing, TM Hot Rodimus, Galvatron, Predaking, and others. Another thing to consider is e-hobby takes their recolor cue from Takara's reissues [the e-hobby reissues are Japanese exclusive products as well] - Detritus, the Insecticon Clones, Magnificus and so on are examples of TF product reissued in Diaclone colors, which you may also consider a plus.
Still, considering Hasbro's done with their reissue line and Takara continued after that [and may yet continue with Tomy], I think Takara has a clear edge here.
You'll pay for that edge, though. Takara's stuff is generally more expensive, but also generally more full of fan-pleasing stuff because that's their target market. Hasbro aims to kids more and adults/collectors peripherally and must thus price things lower and cut down on 'bonus' stuff to maintain that price model.

anytime! and ah, este, maxiMAL po. ;D don't want the ladies confusing me with their most reliable product.
as for availability nga pala, Malvin has pretty much 80-90% of all the Alternators released so far, Prowl included i think. most of the BT's as well, although i'm not sure. there's a guy on the GT buy/sell/trade forums selling his, though, i believe.
TF Commemmorative's a bit spotty lately... BEST had a couple, Malvin has quite a few of em as well. TF Collection - the more recent ones are more or less readily available. it's the first few pieces you're really going to have trouble with. ;D okay, enough useless info overkill.

binaltech siguro is better since it has more diecast parts .. pero as i know (correct me if i'm wrong) mas mura yung alternator, so if you want a cheaper one get the alternator.

Well, If you really into style, die-cast, go with the BT TF. But if your on a budget or Want substance over style, go with the alternator.
