it's in perfect proportion. remember, it forms the viewscope of his gun mode. and toys can't size-shift. remember the G1 megs toy's scope/arm-cannon was also huge for robot mode. - last "it's either a dinky gun or a dinky robot" maximal How about a biggie Megatron with a dinky viewscope...and a biggie viewscope? A swappable option depending on the mode it's presently displayed. Megs will be released na this December at the same time with Yamato's YF-19? That's fast.

well, they could do that, i guess. although it kind of hampers the transformerishness of it, no?
i wonder what accessories this will have. gun mode shockwave? plot-device-of-the-week [cosmic rust bug-gun, heart of cybertron, etc etc etc]?
- last "and then there's the recolor potential -- movie battle damage megs, electrum megs, 'megaplex', diaclone megs..." maximal

- last "and then there's the recolor potential -- movie battle damage megs, electrum megs, 'megaplex', diaclone megs..." maximal Speaking of Megaplex...not exactly about the MPc-Meg but...what's the difference between the G1 Megaplex Megatron in Violet Original G1 box, G1 Violet Boxed Megatron and the TF Collection Megatron? Do they contain extra accessories or something?

whoa! that arm-mounted cannon sure looks like it can blow off prime's head. if only megatron can hold it up and not fall over because of the backfire. ;D hope they improve the legs at least.

check out this side by side comparison of MP-01 and MP-05. Suddenly those, skinny legs don't look so bad as that HUGE cannon is really making Prime a bit nervous. ;D Now, Megs is still displayed using some support stand... hmmm they must still be working with the balancing act problem. Hope they get the colors right! No purple/orange MP-05 please. ;D

From TFW2005: Info provided by Autobase Aichi============================= Translation: First report on MP-5 Masterpiece Megatron. Introduction of uncolored robot mode prototype. The gun mode is only shown in drawing. Oversized Walther P-38 with moving trigger and safety lever. Fusion canon emits LED light. 23cm in length. Accessories include energy mace. the first 2 magazine scans of MP-5 shown online came from Figure King magazine. ========================== Looks like there won't be any barrel or stock extensions.

hmmm... somehow the next Mp releases after MP-01 seems to go on a downard spiral... tsk. Hmm...I have to disagree with you on that one. Let's take the MP03. Just counting the flaws...less diecast, small size, inaccurate anime colors...the toy itself is a work of engineering. I'm amazed how Hasbro/Takara-Tomy have been able to pull this one off. With regards to the MP05...again, look at the engineering. True, the legs are way too skinny, and Meg's helmet bothers me a bit. But the toy looks great! This is the Masterpiece Megs that collectors have been clamoring for all this time. There is no one perfect Masterpiece toy. There will always be room for improvement.

agreed with sir stephen. mp prime and megs sure have come a long way from their dialone days. the legs arent that bad, helmets and face bothers me more (imo, g2 megs still has the best toon face). plus no more side barrel and trigger crotch. finally they can duel like they did on top of hoover dam. hope they make a pat lee versoin o mp prime though... those revoltech toys have been temptin...
