@ checkmate
just simply stating my opinion.....nagpapaliwanag lang po!!! hehehehe!!! PEACE!!! were all a bunch of grown ups here.....for the Love of Toy Collecting!!!
@ giver
QC is another issue....1/60's hasnt come out yet ....so its really early to start that topic yet....but IMO every Toy Manufacturer has its own share of QC issues stuff.....
but if u think Yamato isnt really QC issue free....then DONT BUY THEM!!! STAY AWAY...their PPURE EVIL!!!
but i doubt u can resist their new and upcoming Macross goodies.......bwahahahaha....

well.. i never jump into conclusion.. hehe.. and this is no exception.. but i will make it a point i'll only get valks types that were not issued in the 1/48 Line.. that's about it..
anyway.. i only said my "ad-hoc and impartial" observation/thoughts about the latest development... regardless of the relevance or materiality of it to be discussed here, i don't really mind at all..
let's keep the healthy exchange of thought going bros ;D ;D ;D

small question since i don't own a single Yamato Macross figure. how big would this be the new 1/60 VF-1S compared to the existing1/60 VF-0S? i know that the 1/60 VF-0S has the same height with 1/48 VF-1S. are they really following the true scale? thanks.

bro.. just an idea po L to R: 1/60 VF-1 Type (new line would be at that scale po), 1/60 VF-0 Type, 1/60 YF-19, and 1/60 SV-51

SV-51r by far's the tallest valk in both modes (Fighter and Battroid).. next to it, just a few centimeters is the 1/100 Koenig Monster.. i tried holding both items with their boxes.. the later is still heavier though.. V2: sorry if i'm giving you another reason to force your budget on the SVs ;D ;D

thanks for the photo, giver. it's been a big help.
question guys. did you ever notice how come the canopy of 1/60 VF-1S is smaller compared to the 1/60 VF-0S? i mean, they're on the same scale right? and i know for a fact that the Valkyries from the Zero OAV is 4 meters bigger, but the canopy or should i say the pilot's seats should be the same size, right? are they really following the size based on the scale?
sorry about that. but somehow i get so 'meticulous' when it comes to scaling. thanks.

i think it's a necessary compromise bro.. they wanna make it as accurate as in the anime, morever.. the 1/60s were first produced.. the Zeros only came out recently, so it's really more of the zero's adjusting to rather than the former.. but what i posted was the old 1/60 VF-1.. we don't know what improvements/modifications the upcoming 1/60s would have then... 1 thing i noticed from the scanned pics was the Canopy's kinda off scale in fighter mode.. it's kinda more bloated.. guess they made some adjustments on the canopy..

actually i got the same thought last night...was thinking abt the new 1/60 vs the existing 1/60 zero, if they got the same scale...then its safe to assume that u can actually switch pilots for the two valks having the same scale??? im keeping my hopes high that Yamato would do this .....if not then what's the use of issuing a new 1/60 valk??? hate to admit it....but it would really be a complete rip off if Yamato dont do this "scale thing" right!!!

i saw the Macross 25th Anniversary Black Edition of 1/60 YF-19 at GTmakati this evening. and i'm quite impressed with the black color. i was expecting to be gloss black. but when i opened the flap to see the window, it was flat black. nice.
GT local price TBD.
