Good day fellow toy collectors.
Way back late 70's when I first watched Voltes V, I was swayed with this passionate interest on Japanese Robots. I knew I was a collector from the start, but perhaps like others when they were young, I wasn't fortunate to own one.
I officially started collecting July of this year. I finally acquired a few (and more to go...) of the precious and memorable icons of my childhood. There is simply a rewarding feeling just by looking at these die-cast robots.
My initial collection is mainly robots starting from the late 1970's such as Voles V, Mazinger Z, UFO Grendizer, Getter Robo and Getter G's to name a few. Mainly from Bandai's Soul Of Chogokin (SOC) line and Aoshima SG series. Looking forward to get from the Max Factory and Yamato brands too.
Hope they make Daimos, Mekanda Robo, Danguard Ace, Baratak and Dai Apolon soon. Ahhh, the list is endless... Trying hard not start with Macross and Transformers collection...
Thanks to wingseyemd for coaching me which robot to collect first and stores to check out. (I wouldn 't get the rare SOC GX-27 from Papabear without his help.) And to the chogokin guru, Gold, for patiently answering in great detail all my queries about various super robots. And lastly, thanks to my cousins and cousins in law in Sydney, for
breaking free my interest in chogokins, after they've shown me their collections.
