With Michael Bay's The Transformers the movie scheduled for release next year, I believe it's a great time to get into Transformers again.
In my opinion, the Binaltech and Alternators product lines are the ones which live up to the slogan "more than meets the eye".
One afternoon while recuperating, I decided to open up and take some snap shots of my Binaltechs. I didn't want to do anything fancy so I just used my phone.
Here are the collection of pics I have for the BT's and Alt's. I'll attach more captions along the way:
BT-14 Wheeljack. He isn't the lab geek this time around. He's got the heft and bulk to kick serious a$$!
BT-12 Overdrive. I had a diaclone version of this guy and how I wish I kept it! I'm cool with having his BT version, though
BT-15 Prowl (Blue). Yeah, I know....he's blue. I should call this guy BlueStreak instead of Prowl. I'm still on the lookout for the BT police car version! He's pictured holding a rifle from the Armored Core weapon pack #5.
BT-08 Meister (Jazz). I was slightly disappointed on how Jazz turned out coz I think he's kindda skinny. Laser/Shockwave wasn't that bad but I can't help but wonder why Jazz looks skinny.
Group shot ;D
BT-10 Grimlock. I was impressed with the bulk and heft of the Mustang form that I decided to get the other one. Between Grimlock and Wheeljack, I would recommend Wheeljack more.
Update on what's as my table at one point:
Yeah, I know, I'm running out of space. I'm thinking of either bringing home Optimus or Broadblast.
BTA-3 Broadblast. Here's a closeup of Broadblast. I gave him the AC 5 rifle to beef up his firepower. Well, Blaster did have some sort of long-barreled gun with a scope
Here's Broadblast with the "Starsaber" from the Binaltech Arming pack:
BT-13 Laserwave. It's a slightly old pic. I have to admit that this from fits him perfectly! Must be the way they colored him.
hmmm....the title did say Binaltech and Alternators so I might as well include a couple or so Alternators pics:
Smokescreen. I bought this guy as a 2nd hand fig. No box no instructions but 100% complete and all tight! He's pictured here with the Binaltech Arming rocket launcher and lightsaber. 2nd pic shows him with an Armored Core Weapon pack 2 gun.
Ricochet. Also of the Subaru mold.
And one of the jewels of my collection -- Alt Nemesis Prime. It's the 2006 SDCC Exclusive. I'm sooooo glad we got this w/o having to go all the way to San Diego. We got it easy out here!
More Nemesis Prime Pics:
I actually have 2. I'm keeping the other one MISB
Now, we can't have a Nemesis Prime without....Optimus Prime Alternators version! Now, as with Nemesis Prime, I gave Optimus a little firepower upgrade with the AC#2 gun:
Here's a handful of cam pics of BT-06 Tracks:
Tracks G1-style Blue:
Now, here's the Binaltech take on Tracks -- He was originally made as a yellow BT corvette:
Side by side with the blue version:
Surprisingly, between the yellow Tracks and the Blue version, I actually ended up liking the original yellow version!
Group pic!
New additions:
Binaltech Battle Ravage:
Notice the "bling bling" mags he has.
Side by side with BT Tracks:
Just a little "teaser" update:
That's it for now!
