@ Pilapz: Nice Strike Freedom bro... regarding what you'll be getting first hmmm... interesting... Go for the Wing Custom first then the K.A. Ver... but if you want a transforming Gundam go for the K.A.
@ shinnn: hmmm, regular ver. does'nt have the shinny outside gold frames and the FB mode, As for FBM as usual outside gold frames, regular stand, poster, action base stand for full burst mode that's it....

@ vayeate and shinn: Haha!!! forgot about the price difference, depending on your budget bro, for the price hmmm... for the price of FBM you can buy a reg. ver of strike freedom plus you can buy another MG kit... or just wait FBM price to depreciate...

Hi Amigos! ;D First of all, thank you for all the comments, advice, and kind words from all of you. I am deeply humbled. Naks! @jq: thanks for the comment. i try to be neat with my kits and i make sure the panel lines are inked cleanly. thanks! jnthn: yep, i did spray paint the gold frame also and it has a huge difference from the original color! i was so amazed with what the tamiya gold spray caused on the runners. it was so d*mn shiny! amazing! it took me about 1 hour of spraying the runners. building the kit could have taken me about 10 hours. I didn't finish the kit in one day. when i come home from work, i would build a part or 2. the top coat spraying just took about 10 to 15 mins. the sad part about the gold spray is when i applied the semi gloss topcoat, it was SHINY before, but after spraying the topcoat it was SHINY na lang. @shinn: i believe there is a huge difference with the FBM and normal version: THE PRICE!!! i had the same problem too. i was thinking which kit to go with, but in the end i chose the regular. because u spend almost 2000 extra buckaroos for a stand, different decals, the flying thingamajig for the dragoons, and gold painted joints. with that extra cash, i'll just go ahead and buy me my MG Wing Zero Custom. milk for my cereal, coffeemate in my coffee. makes sense to me.

Ah ok.... so when you spray painted the kit, you did it while they were still in the runners? You don't build the kit parts first and then spray paint? Is that right?

@no3ljim: i'll try to post some pix later showing the difference of the painted and not painted gold parts. jnthn: i used the tamiya spray paint, TS-21 Gold. ninja: yep, that's what i do. i spray the runners first, cut the part out, shave the excess plastic (if there is excess, which rarely happens), slightly spray a cotton bud with paint, then apply the paint on the snip mark, ink the panel line, lastly snap built it. the paint all evens out when i apply the topcoat.

that's a good tip!! using cotton buds for small fill-ins....but doesn't it leave little cotton strands though? man i still need to practice on applying topcoats, last i did it on my sd red astray, the paint ran and bled all over and made my panel lines all messy....any tips you wanna share would be much appreciated....thanks! hehehe....

(oh wow! i'm actually giving some advice! kapal ng mukha.. hehehe)hope that helps... ask other modellers cuz i'm not a pro like some people here...

PilapZI tried the cotton bud method you stated and it doesn't seem to work. the paint dries faster than i can apply it. how'd you manage it bro? jnthnshinn's right bro. you have to give it time for the paint to dry. don't apply topcoats right after you paint or panel line coz tendency will be to smudge.

Use a 0/3 brush if you want... works for me.

thanks for the tips, guys! sorry for being such a noob...
actually i did let my panel lines and paint dry for about almost a week....then sprayed a clear gloss coat on it....i think i might have sprayed it too much and too close, i just didn't know that clear coats can do that to paints....so i got spray-happy....i learned the hard way....
but how far do you have to be when spraying clear coats? do you spray it from side to side (left to right/vice versa)? but for how much for a 1st coat? sorry for too many questions.
