one thing I forgot to mention.
if you are interested in Gunpla modification, try the kitbash first. you use existing parts so you don't have to create/sculpt/cast the new parts and all you need are knife/saw/sand paper/glue/putty to try out
I'm currently doing Gundam Ver. Ka and Gundam OYW and it's basically the kit base - though I'm now ading/replacing various parts with replacement I will be creating from sube sube plus extension of arms and legs...

some tip to fellow modders: try visiting WIP threads of pther modders from diff gunpla modeling forums. you'll learn much by just looking at the pics of their works. here are some examples: MG Justice Part 1 MG Justice Part 2This modder is so darn good. he's making the articulations of 1/144 MG-like. heck i dont think MGs can twist its waist like that 1/144 MG Freedom i dont think i will be buying MGs anymore once i learn how he does that. theres even a thread there on how to make pg-like hands for 1/144 models. ill post the link later. man those malaysians are so good at modding... -edit- here's the link: PG-like hands for 1/144

Are there any simple mods to tighten the balljoins from in the legs? i noticed when i completed my freedom the leg joins are not that tight .. altho its tight enough to hold a pose when placed on its stand, but when standing w/o the stand there are difficulties in holding some standing poses.. tendency is the legs will split..

Well you can apply a light application of superglue on the ball joints..or you could use a small piece from a tissue or paper and wrap it around the balljoint
