After consderation of several stuff, I finally went to Recto and got a single action. Badger model 200. And got me a hose, so all I need is a compressor, probably in some weeks I'd get one.

First I made a 1:1 ratio of acrylic paint and thinner, and tried to get the feel of the airbrush, and also a feel of how thick/thin the paint flow should be.
I got a compressor without regulator, but however a problem in the connection with my hose prompted me to get an adaptor with a lever on it to adjust the flow like a faucet adjusts water flow.
So with the right air flow from the compressor, I tried to experiment the good spray enough for the average size of Zoid pieces, with thickness and distance in consideration.
I primed a zoids CP-10 gun with a spray can primer and applied the airbrush black paint, and to my delight I felt a smoother, yet thinner finish. I tried to feel it in comparison with my Geno ARTY's gun and it felt a lot better, smoother and less thicker.
Cleaning got me quite in a mess since my work area doesn't have a table, and I think I need an industrial thinner for cleaning the pieces, since hobby thinners cost quite a lot and would be wasted by using large amounts just for cleaning. I had to submerge the airbrush head, tip and regulator under the thinner and use some thinner in the canister and operate the airbrush so the thinner goes all around the head assembly pieces.
Finally, I filled the canister with water for a final airbrush operation to rinse the pieces.
Now for my agenda on my next paint bottle is to KEEP UP with the right THICKNESS, TEXTURE and HANDLING so I can also KEEP UP with a good finish. In short, my next paint bottle would still be for practice.
Anyway, should I really clean the airbrush parts with the same thinner I used for the paint type?

here's the link: www.fichtenfoo.com/02GiantRobots/02c-abflash.html
happy airbrushing.

Yep I've seen his flash tutorial. What I do is to submerge the head, tip and regulator in thinner, I'm still thinking if I should get an acrylic thinner from the hardware so I can get more for less price just for cleaning the airbrush, so all the hobby thinners I would buy would just go for the mixture with paint. I think hobby thinners are too expensive to be used just for cleaning.
and it's better to have several thin coats than one thick coat right? I'm still trying to practice on getting the right thickness and air flow from the compressor for Zoids kasi so I can't really paint my customs yet, anyway it's worth my time.

I got a question for the Single action users. How do you make very fine lines? I mean even if I try to reduce air flow from the compressor I still get big paint flow when I try to spray close even with the finest paint flow setting.
Does this mean I need the fine tip?
I need to get to know how to make camouflage shapes in smaller spray diameter

Like what you have tried; that is, lowering the air pressure and spraying close to the model, you might want to practice a soft touch to your a/b trigger. It works for me, hehe. For small camouflage patterns, masking should do the trick. Though this can be quite tedious, its worth the time and effort.

Priming means like most on painting stuff in simple term it means primary top coat of paint. This will let the secondary coat to be intact with the material. It also serve as protection to the material it self. Example: Priming an iron gate to protect from rust before putting the secondary coat or color of your choice Masking basically to separate color or to protect certain parts not needed to be colorize Finishes 2 forms Flat and Glossy from the term itself Flat color doesn't reflect light on it, it is very easy to create effects on it like rust or weathering Glossy are very reflective finish like on cars and refrigerators the good thing about it dirt and dust slide on it making it easy to clean up

regarding on the specs. Tamiya Sprayworks only comes in single action a/b. not so sure if you could use the compressor that comes with it on double action a/b. i asked the sales people at Lil's before and they told me that the compressor on the sprayworks is not compatible with the double action a/b. you could ask them again. maybe i asked the wrong person there last year. hehehe.

Just for info, Badger Airbrush model 150 cost 8k at National Bookstore... Hi guys! ":)_ Share ko lang po... Badger ABs and accessories are a lot cheaper at Enriquez Art Supply. Thats where Natonal Book Store gets their ABs. Its located at Avenida in Metro Manila. IMHO the TAMIYA BASIC AB set gives you more bang for your bucks. ":)_
